I purchased this exact jack from Amazon about 5 years ago. It was the smallest, lightest scissors jack I could find. I use it for random lifting of various objects in my house and my shop. It works perfectly for this light duty purpose. It will fit under loads that sit closer to the floor. I found a way to drive this jack quickly using a battery powered drill, and I almost never try to use the lightweight crank handle. As others have noted, the design of that handle gives very little leverage, making it hard to lift anything very heavy.I own two other scissors jacks. One jack, from a company named for a compass direction, is rated at 2,000 pounds. The other jack, from a company with the initials HF, is rated at 3,000 pounds. Side by side by side, both jacks are built far more ruggedly than this jack. They are larger, heavier, and have a stronger crank handle. The threaded screw rod that raises and lowers the jack is significantly larger on both jacks.The 3,000 pound rating given by the description is seriously over-rating this jack. I would suggest it is more reasonable to limit this jack to no more than 1,000 pounds. If you do that, this jack can be very useful and will last a long time. Oil it well, and save it for your more lightweight odd jobs. You will receive good service for a long time from this smaller, more lightweight scissors jack.

I like that this jack was just what I needed for a much lighter aplication

Seems to be a pretty cheap unit. I guess you get what you pay for.

Do not buy this product as it is not safe. I had used it twice and on third time lifting a corner of a 2005 Mini Cooper on a flat concrete surface to replace a tire the jack snapped at the base making the jack roll over on it's side. It is not fit for purpose and should be taken off sale before someone gets injured.

Many new vehicles come without a spare, jack and wrench. So I bought them at Amazon. Easy to find, and reasonably priced.

The handle for this jack is so short you can’t get any leverage.

Works perfectly to jack up the wheel of a light aircraft. Single wheel weight is only 350 lbs, yet you can feel the difficulty in turning the handle even at this lighter weight. Works very well.. for my application. I think it would be a bear to raise a car. But I'm happy with it.

Used it once to lift a Toyota Tercel bolt stripped and car almost fell. Lucky I only removed my second bolt.Stay away from this item.
