A very important book. Not to be missed.
We all go through grief. I have gone through grief. Grief is that phase in our life which will come unannounced and we will "have to" let it in. No questions asked. But as author Neena writes in her book "a dead doesn't die alone." We are left behind and we have grapple with grief. We don't go through grief rather we grow through grief. Grief never leaves us. We learn to live with it. But most often it can trigger negative responses in us. Not everyone is going to tackle grief stoically. However, to arm you with enough strength is the book Grief...Growth...Grace. Reading it was like revisiting my dark times and accepting the reality, anew. I believe that a closure was needed. I had definitely delayed forgiveness. And my overall progress was stalled hence. But after reading this book there's a renewed hope and happiness. It's imperative you read this treatise which is sure life changing.

A Pilgrimage within
We are scared of Grief. We have been taught and raised believing that Grief would never come to us and our family. Family has never prepared us to accept the Grief. Though the grief is all around, we have always be in denial that it will never come to our doorstep. And one day the grief strikes us. What to do in such circumstances we simply don’t know. The inevitability of loss, death and grief in your life is the ultimate truth. This book helps you to first accept this inevitability. Secondly, once you accept the truth of grief it shows you the path to transcend from the grief via the process of resilient adaptation to re-emerge and to reclaim your world once again. As you a proceed with the book the acceptability towards grief grows stronger and stronger in you. The success of the book lies in this fact. As unless you accept the phenomenal grief is universal, you won’t be able to walk towards the journey of reclaiming yourself. It opens up the entire labyrinth of grief and teaches you that the journey of grief is unique, slow and everyone has to deal with in their own way.Author has suggested a Growth process through a model is again a very unique journey to every individual. She is so correctly named the journey as Pilgrimage. There is no single path that would serve all. So aptly described by her ” There is no deity or priest here. We are the pilgrim, we are the priest, and we are the deity.” In this process of growth, certainly the transformed one chose to share the wisdom of this journey with the world. The concept of Forgiveness and the Self Transcendence completes the journey from Grief to Growth to Grace. Forgiveness is Supreme. It makes you to come forward and rise above our own injury and pain. This capacity and ability to release the bitterness and choose the path of compassion help us grow larger than our pain. Author reinforces this in us through this book.I am so lucky to have experienced this journey through this book. It has equipped me with a lot of new perspective. I am so grateful to the Author for bringing this book to us. Thanks a lot Ma’am

I have read dozens of grief books and have learned something from each of them. What sets this book apart from the others is that it has a beautiful balance between science and research and the spiritual side and that really speaks to me. I highly recommend this book.
