Typically I would use the metal garden stakes like you see to secure a tree. I purchased these and a smaller metal option and love them both. Easy to install with a rubber mallet. Secure almost anything.

The spike part could be a bit longer that will help stabilize the post when inserted into the ground.

I liked how it looked but once I open them I felt how thin they are and they break easily and don't stay up on their own they have no spikes. I use them as a border around my garden

I wanted to buy 10 of these, but the supplier (woodstream Corp I guess) would only sell three. I tried to buy in lots of three but after I bought the first three it wouldn't let me buy anymore. Amazon is checking in to this but could not help me. So I checked the other suppliers that offer this same post and found that the Sale Box would sell them with a slightly higher price per post and I had to pay shipping. It was worth it, as I really like the way these post work- I highly recommend the posts but if you need more than 3 best buy it elsewhere.

Did the trick in the garden. Will purchase a few more for spring garden planting.

I tried to order 15 of these to avoid the shipping/handling fee as stated by the description the S/H fee would be waived if you ordered a minimum dollar amount, but the seller put a limit of 3 and therefore can and does charge an unreasonably high S/H fee. I chatted with Amazon and two people including the supervising manager said they could not over-ride the system and would not sell me more than 3 at a time each without a huge approximate shipping/handling fee of $21.00. The online system would not allow me to place a larger order. I would not order this item from Amazon and this dealer. It is inexpensive but not worth the S/H fee. After complaining Amazon was kind enough to refund me the S/H fee but it took time and a lot of effort I should not have had to endure.The item itself is only okay. The clips are not flexible and one already broke as I tried to remove the wire. Home Depot has it for slightly more but no shipping/handling fee. The Zareba 4ft height in black is a better product, with easier to manipulate clips, more clips and a longer more streamline foot to insert into dirt using foot pressure instead of a hammer...cost is $2.51 with a minimum to avoid S/H online at homedepot.com. Not sold on Amazon.
