I like it. SWMBO decreed we have something for the kids to sit on in the basement and her visiting friend somewhere to sleep. Enter Amazon, Prime and my cellphone and this thing arrived a few days later.I estimated 1.5-2 hours to put together including the use of a power drill for all the bolts and it ended up taking almost three. Tedious would be the word I would use. Not terribly difficult, just tedious. For example, the support for the mattress and both bottom pieces have like 24 vertical bars that each require 2 little plastic tabs pressed in with your fingers. It's tedious. That said, I can't imagine moving and taking it with me. Nah that's a lie, once the support slats go in I think it would break down pretty easily. Passing the supports onto the consumer probably saves some sweatshop like 48c per unit though so I do feel bad taking jobs from the hardworking indigenous people of wherever.It's reversible if you want. Assemble with the ladder where you want and put the "LEFT" futon bracket on the side with the ladder.It's easy to go from couch to bed provided you remember there's a lock keeping the couch from inadvertently switching to bed...15 minutes later...It does wobble a bit. It really does need some cross bracing in the back, but kids bounce so if anything crazy did happen I'm sure they'd be fine.tl;drIt's a hit. Couldn't imagine putting it together with the provided tools though.

Update later in review.Okay so far it's not good I will change my review depending on how well customer support helps with my issue. Unfortunately support is off today until the 3rd of January 2022. I'm not sure if it comes in two separate packages but I have no instructions and no hardware to put it together. Hope to hear from dhp soon.Update. So I contacted their customer support they took care of my missing hardware situation no problem. Just had to verify that I purchased their product. A few days later I received the hardware. The hardware looks like it's been sitting in a warehouse for a while and none of the bolts were in the packaging itself the hardware ended up being in the envelope that the hardware was shipped in you'll see in the pictures. Luckily nothing fell out of the hole that was in the package. There were 4 missing screws luckily in the spares it had four. It's pretty easy to assemble with the instructions given. Overall the product is sturdy not the sturdiest but it's sturdy and it held me just fine as I tested it. Customer services is decent. I just don't understand the missing hardware and what was sent could have been better. I guess that's what you get for going for a cheaper price.

My 10 year old daughter wanted a loft bed with a desk for Christmas. This was really the only thing she asked for. We looked at several online and this was the one she wanted. Even after searching several other sites. Normally, I read reviews before ordering. This time I did not. My husband commented after it arrived and he saw the packaging how he hoped it was a good quality bed. At this point, and without mentioning it to him, I did read the reviews. I saw a couple of good reviews but honestly they made me nervous but I had to wait until after Santa delivered and we put it together to see what was what.As we opened the box to get everything out, I was quite nervous. Because I had read about missing parts, things not lining up and extra holes. We laid everything out by the instructions, even the screws. We followed them step by step with me holding my breath the entire time. We had NO PROBLEMS at ALL! Everything was there, everything lined up, everything was just like it appeared with the exception of the additional shelf. And the shelf didn't matter anyway because we were buying it for the desk. It only shakes a small amount but my husband said that's should be expected. He did but pipe insulation around the steps to make them more comfortable. They are narrow but with the extra padding work great. Our daughter has stayed in her room almost nonstop since this bed was put up. I would definitely recommend this bed for the money.
