A good learning tool
- Made in China- Comes with a sheet labeling parts and muscle attachments, etc. It's on the inexpensive side in both price and quality but it's certainly accurate and very useful. I'm generally a moderate prepper but with a little medical training and a general enthusiasm for learning, I do tend to go a little further in the medical aspect than most might. This is just for me to learn. For those who don't get a lot of practice, this is even more useful. A clear visual. It feels like general plastic. The base is cheap, very light, but sufficient - it stands up just fine. The fingers above the horizontal wire you see in the pix can be manipulated a little. The chart thing that comes with it is almost as valuable.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many everyday things you buy will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice at no cost to you. Perfect for the med student in your life
I got this as a gift for a dear friend who is in medical school training to be a physical therapist. I thought it would serve two purposes: first, as a helpful tool for studying the anatomy of the human hand, and second as a fun item of intrigue to set out on a desktop or bookshelf. Lo and behold, I was right! My friend loves this nifty little item. It’s completely professional quality and as far as I can tell, 100% accurate to the anatomy of a human hand. This model comes with a print-out describing in detail the specific names of all of the parts of a hand, which I think is a great reference. And the fact that you can articulate the hand makes it even more fun and educational. I know I got mine for a med student friend, but I think even a much younger budding scientist or doctor would get a lot of use out of this. It’s very well-made and is sure to be a conversation starter.

Life size, pretty accurate anatomically
This Merinden Life Size Skeletal Hand Model with Wrist, Ulna and Radius, Articulated Hands Skeleton Secured with Wire has the Anatomical Muscle Start and End Point Tag Recognition, with the red being the origin and the blue being insertion of the muscles. It is reasonably priced at $32, which is on the low end comparing to other anatomical models. It looks to be pretty anatomically accurate, with moveable joints, and makes a great display and studying tool.

Great value - small errors in muscle attachment sites
Fantastic value and serves as a nice model of muscle attachments in the hand. There are some small errors, the extensor carpi ulnaris and flexor carpi ulnaris sites are shown as overlapping. The attachments of the dorsal and palmar interossei are off but are labelled correctly in the accompanying paper key.

Give the man a hand.
Education is one of the most important things you can learn in life. The Bible tells us to keep taking in knowledge. What I like about this skeletal hand model is that I can feel my hand, of course with skin on it and see the bone that would be underneath. You can move the fingers around and around a little bit. But I would caution you on the top tips of the fingers because it looks to me like trying to bend these too many times would break them off, not a good thing. I recommend my friend keep your hands flexible clean and they will help you to the in. God bless you. May the rest of your life be the best of your life. OZ

👏 (Zero Claps his Hands) 👏
Sorry, I couldn't help it, lol. But anyway, this hand certainly meets my approval. The base seems a little cheap, but it is $25.(Or it was at the time of this review. I know these things often change.)I would just expect one of these to be pricier. That being said, the hand itself seems quite durable. I would still be a little careful with it. Doing it slowly, I was able to bend the fingers of mine a good bit without damaging it. Not much else to say though. The listing is accurate: What you see is what you get. And you also get a printed out page of information about the Life Size Skeletal Hand Model With Wrist.

Excellent and affordable model!
The build quality of the hand itself is nice. The plinth that the model is attached to is just an inexpensive piece of plastic with no real weight and it probably will not stand up too well to drops and abuse. The hand model is somewhat poseable and articulated. The bones are accurate. This comes with an instructional sheet that labels all of the bones. Additionally, this model is marked with blue and red to show the muscle origin and insertion points. An excellent tool for instruction in a classroom setting or study aid for someone taking human anatomy.
