PTEXAM: The Complete Study Guide Study Guide Edition

Great study guide. I bought this along with the O'Sullivan guide to prepare for my boards. I mainly used this book and turned to the O'Sullivan guide for clarification. Compared to O'Sull, this book is waaayyyyy easier to get through. It's organized and thorough and isn't just newspaper text. There are diagrams and pictures, charts and images - all that are very helpful. If you are planning your study time, I say start as early as possible. I did get lazy and didn't hit the books hard until maybe 6 weeks (or less) out, though I did still pass my board. Starting earlier would've relieved some stress and allowed me to go back over sections that I wasn't too confident with. It was nice to have the practice exams from this guide and the O'Sull to take (so 6 practice exams total) and I used every single one. Many of my classmates also took the PEAT and highly recommended it. Good luck!

just started using the book, so from a first impression it looks very easy to follow and it seems to be well detailed. I'll only know how helpful it is after I take the test, but that's all I can say for now.

I just passed the NPTE after taking it 7/31/12. I almost exclusively used this book for content review and its very helpful due to the great organization, color coding, and concise nature of the information. This being said, the 3 practice tests included in the CDROM are significantly easier then either the real exam, the PEAT exams, or the O Sullivan exams. These exams test more of your ability to regurgitate information from the book as most questions are almost direct quotes from the books content. I would buy this book for content review but use PEAT for practice tests. Even though there are only 2 PEAT tests, they are by far the most accurate representation in terms of content and difficulty of the real exam. O Sullivan's tests are too difficult and several of their questions are unclear and/or have poor explanations for answers. Good Luck!-Thomas

Well, looking back on it all now I am glad I purchased this. ( I passed with flying colors!) Unlike the other competitors, this structures the study plan and exam questions/environment on the computer in a manner that emulates the real deal and prepares the test-taker for the true experience. I would recommend buying several study guides (including this one), given that this stratifies your experience of practice test question difficulty levels. I do believe some of the questions in this study book were a bit too easy, but necessary because the real exam had a few easy ones tucked in there too. I recommend this book for sure, but do not rely solely on this one!

Its an nice book to revise. mostly i used as second book to study i relied more on o'sullivan . But this books last minute revision especially modalities part is quiet very very nice. All the 3 test were helpful for clearing boards. Iwill really recommend this book to others.

I used this book to study for the NPTE which I took and passed in January 2014.I can really recommend this review book to anyone who's going to take the NPTE!

The product was great and it was delivered on time. I even requested a Kindle version for this product so I can bring it anywhere. There was an android app available to the ScoreBuilders website but it wasn't the same format from the book. Best product is still the book.

the book is very good, and i bought it to practice questions from it. I founded practice questions very helpfull. One feature of this book is that while you are go through the practice questions, reference for every question is also mentioned which points the source of every question. Point is you can know now that how a question is picked from a text paragraph. 10/10..... I will strongly recommend it for NPTE/PCE students....
