Biblical Teaching on Sex amid Distracting Writing
Swipe Right conveys the Biblical message of sexual ethics that includes the blessing of sex for husband and wife (man & woman) and the dangers of sexual behavior outside the godly bounds of such marriages. Lusko seeks to both warn and encourage readers regarding their sexual behavior. He emphasizes both the blessings and the curses related to sex. He addresses many of the sexual trends in our culture, especially the types of illicit sexual behavior that teens and young adults are inclined towards. The emphasis on Biblical sexual ethics is what I had hoped for in this book. My intention was to review it and consider giving it to my teen child as a resource. I'm not sure of exactly who Lusko is targeting in this book. It came up as one addressed to youth; however, it seems to address adults as much as youth. The sexual discussion is mature and what I think young readers need to hear about, and readers of any age will benefit from the writing on sexuality too.My main criticism of the book is that the message on sex is couched in writing that I would describe as incessant autobiography, self-promotion and comedic quips and anecdotes. At the close of the book, I think I learned more about the author than I did about the topic. I learned about his tragedies and triumphs, likes and dislikes, and that he is apparently a celebrity preacher based on his mention of speaking gigs at conferences, churches and the Cowboys' stadium. He speaks of "The Life-and-Death Power of Sex" in the mix of jokes about The Office and even a reference to Twins (I got it.). If I'm reading this as a teen, I imagine thinking that the topic of sex can't be that serious because the author seems as interested in being funny and letting me know what a popular speaker he is. He begins several chapters by explaining how he is writing this on a plane or at a cafe as he squeezes in time between speaking gigs. Is this a life and death issue or not?I wonder if the author thinks that the gospel of Jesus Christ will not be appealing unless he surrounds it with funny cultural references or if people won't appreciate his message unless he makes sure they know how popular he is. Sadly, as the author's season of popularity fades and the cultural relevancy of his quips become irrelevant, this book will become less appealing too. Too much of it depends on those temporal qualities and not enough on the word of God and anointing of the Holy Spirit to apply it to readers. It may sound inconsiderate, but I'm not reading this because I'm interested in Levi Lusko or because I want to be entertained -- although, both are great things. I want a simple straightforward book on the life and death power of sex. I'm afraid I didn't grasp much power to impact readers here.Even with that criticism, the biblical message of the book is so important that any means of it reaching more readers, young and old, is significant and worthy of recommendation.

A book I wish I read as a teenager. Life changing.
This book found me at a time when I really needed it. Levi's words helped me to want to stay committed to what I am trying to do now. It's been 2 years since my divorce (husband was unfaithful) and I'm tired of being alone and seeing everyone around me dating or married. People telling me that times have changed and just go have fun. It just doesn't feel right or God honoring to me. This book made me realize that what I'm trying to do is what God wants for me and now I fully get why. My determination is renewed and I now have reinforcements in this book for when I'm facing temptation or doubting myself. I highly recommend this book for everyone. Teens, married, divorced, single, and people searching for more. Thank you, Levi!

Excellent Book On A Very Important Topic
Review of: "Swipe Right: The Life-and-Death Power of Sex and Romance Paperback – February 21, 2017,"by Levi Lusko (Author).Great book on a very important subject. The publisher's description reads: "God wants you to have amazing sex. There is nothing more powerful on earth than the forces of love, sex, and romance. In fact, relationships are a matter of life-and-death importance. So how you can train today for the relationship you want tomorrow? In Swipe Right, Levi Lusko shares with raw honesty from his own life experiences and God’s Word how to regret-proof your marriage bed and your deathbed; resist settling for instant pleasure by discovering what your heart really longs for; learn how to avoid and treat sexual scars by careful living today; turn the clumsy “sex talk” with your child into dialogue that leads to wise choices; transform a stagnant marriage by trading predictable nearness for mind-blowing intimacy. God’s dreams for your life are not intended to kill your joy but to enhance it. Whether you’re fed up with dating and hooking up as usual, tired of being single, numb because of porn and casual sex, or curious about how to improve your marriage, this book is for you."I purchased this book for my teens so that they can continue to make good choices in regard to dating and cultivating relationships. Well done!

Eye opening
I found this book, along with Through the Eyes of a Lion & I Declare War, at a time I've truly been in need of them. I've figured out I don't want to revert to the old me when it comes to handling loneliness and sadness. People say times have changed and some things don't matter, just go have fun. I've even been asked if I've found a "bootycall" ...I was appalled by the question, and I've realized, I don't feel right thinking like everyone else. "God wants us to have amazing sex," but with the RIGHT person who is meant to walk and worship with you. Since having really started my journey with Jesus again, it feels wrong to do alot of different things. Levi's words have rung true from my past to my present and I no longer want to be living my life with negative feelings, when I can live in peace & happiness through my walk with God. Thank you Levi for the encouraging words on living a better life even if I have lived in sin, because Jesus died for our sins and if we truly repent and live by the word, we are forgiven.

For all relationship statuses
AWESOME book! I was nervous buying it as a married man, thinking it would all be dating/single life stuff, but it has very helpful messages for those of us later in life concerning affection, love, and sex; even in married life!Great book. Download the free app that comes with it!

This book is so needed in this generation. Levi does a great job of talking about hard subjects in a relevant way through the lens of truth. Every teenager should read it and every adult should read it. (If you have a teen, I would suggest reading it yourself first, then giving it to your teen to read, and then discussing it with them.) Some of the old cultural references will be lost on teens and college students, and some of the newer cultural references will be lost on older adults. This is a really great book that couldn't be more timely for our culture. I have read a lot of books on this topic and this is the best one that I've read.

Great book!
I'm a 19yr old christian male, this is a guide book to life! Absolutely solid book, wish I could rate it 6 out of 5. Recommend reading 'I kissed Dating Goodbye' afterwards, by Joshua Harris. Its the perfect follow on book for slightly more depth.
