LeapFrog is great!
My family loves all of the LeapFrog books and we do not go on any trip without the TAG reader. My son has loved it since he was 3 years old and it still has great replay ability now that he is 5 years old. This book is great for its story but it also has some great added games in the back of the book. My son played with this book recently on a 14 hour road trip and I think half the trip was spent with this book in his lap. Great job, LeapFrog!

Exciting, but not as educational as others
My kids love Scooby Doo and their Tag Reading Systems, so this purchase was a no-brainer. Although it lacks a lot of the educational elements of some of the other Tag books (e.g. Spongebob), the most important way to foster a love of reading is to choose books that have an element of excitement and entertainment. In this way, Scooby Doo and the Shiny Spooky Knights fits the bill perfectly. In conclusion, if you are trying to select the most educational tag books and are open to a variety of characters and subjects, you may want to look elsewhere. However, if you are dealing with a Scooby Doo fanatic, you won't regret this purchase.

Kids who love Halloween will love this!
My boyfriend and I got the Tag reading pen along with this book and one other for x-mas and our son loves it! I continue to be amazed at how every single thing on the page that you touch with the reading pen makes noise. Whether it's music or the story being told or each of the characters having something different to say. Of course both of the Tag reading books that my son recieved have these wonderful features, but my son likes this Scooby Doo book especially because he loves spooky, Halloween type things. This book plays spooky music as well as funny sounds that he really enjoys. Our son is 4yrs and two months old and while he really enjoys having the story read to him as well as bing in control of the reading of each page, I don't however belive that he is gaining a whole lot of knowledge about learning how to read each word or sentences at all by playing with this book. Perhaps when he is a bit older, but right now it is just fun for him to have the book read to him as well as being in control of all the different fun sounds that each page makes. So if your child enjoys spooky sounds and reading this is the book for him/her!

Learning to read is fun!
My son loves Scooby Doo and he loves his LeapFrog Tag so naturally we were excited to find this book! It's a cute story that he wants to read over and over. The Tag is a wonderful system for him to learn to read and this book has been the perfect addition to his collection.

gets my daughters attention!
my daughter has not been a TAG fan...but when she saw the Scooby Doo book she "had" to have it! She got it at age 4, it was ages 5-8. The great thing about leapfrog products is you can track your child's progress online. My daughter was at 100% comprehension with the games, she is now 5 and reading at a first grade level (not just because of this one book, but because they have books that target her interests and she likes the "games.

Lots of activities
Our 4 year old loves "spooky things" and this book didn't disappoint. It has lots of activities for kids to do beyond just reading. There's not a whole of educational aspects to it (beyond learning what the different parts of a castle are called) but it is fun.

Fell apart in under a week...
My daughter loved this book...but it hardly lasted a week, before the pages started falling out & the whole thing fell apart. It isn't very well made, at all. And my daughter isn't overly rough or abusive with books; it really was just very poorly made. At the price, I wouldn't buy it again, as it only lasted about a week.

Books were just a fad for my grandkids
I thought my grandkids would use these books more but they lost interest very quickly. I bought two sets (one for each child) and don't think we got our money's worth out of them as far as use. The product worked fine -- just didn't hold their attention (3 year old twins). Also requires downloading from computer and batteries, so a lot of work for little entertainment.

Scooby Doobie Doo!
Bought this for my daughter for her 4th birthday. She loves it! She particularly likes answering questions to win rewards (which can be printed off your computer when you attach the tag pen). This is a fun book but with educational value too. I give it a big thumbs up!

Tag book
This is a brilliant Tag reading book. We got it for our eldest, but our youngest wants to look and read it too! The 'pen' picks up all the sounds (not just the main characters). Brilliant vale for money, colourful, hard backed book, lots of sounds.

More than a book.
Bought as a present. The kids love the books very interactive and easy to use. The kids kept going back to the books and finding something new and different on every page. Delivered before the estimated delivery date. The packaging the books arrived in was more than adequate.
