These do not dissolve in the water. I tried multiple times and they never dissolve. Not sure what these are but they aren't turtle calcium

These melt beautifully and my snails and shrimp are reproducing again. With 14 aquariums the four pack and price are very much appreciated! Small enough to 'hide' in the back.

Good for extra vitamins for my red sliders, easy to open and small enough for them to eat, the price is a little high compared to others but definitely recommend.

it dissipated to fast after putting it into the water and you need to many of them to actually change the water quality, water you end up changing pretty often anyway. i have notice that for turtles (i have a red ear slider) the brand doctor turtle, slow release calcium block works best, it takes time to dissolve and my turtle loves to eat chunks of it, actually ingesting the calcium instead of being wasted in the water right away, calcium in water is indeed necessary but it is better if is slow released. i even use it for my snails in another tank too, and some pieces in my fish tanks to help skeletal formation on my different fishes. i do not recommend this item.

If you are using these blocks for anything but a very small tank- six of them would be required to meet the needs of a larger tank. The Zoo Med Dr.Turtle Slow-Release Calcium Block would serve you better. I did not see any size description but the cubes are much smaller than a sugar cube. I gave it 3 stars because I do not want to ruin anyones business. I am sure this is a great product for a very small tank.

This was not worth my money I could have gotten one from another company worth what I spent on these the size off a pill these were never order again
