Gund Ginger Bear Stuffed Teddy Plush, 15"

Gund is known for well made and soft stuffed animals.

Best. Bear. EVER. I like his size. He’s soft and small eunf to be tucked in for a ride in a carry-all at an airport. Soft as mush, both fur and stuffing. I try not to squeeze him too tight because I’d never want him to lose his slightly paunchy tummummus. And the maker thought to provide a tail. Some leave that off- such a disseervice to a bear I think. I love bears. Always have. Had been wanting a new one just for myself. So when the local Bue Santa needed donations, I hopped on Amazon and ordered a whole bunch of different bears (yep; part audition, part donation).Somehow none of them grabbed me as I had hoped, so all went to well deserving kids. Then a picture of this bear was posted and I was off....Had the smallest one delivered to me the next day. Thank God for a roommate that puts up with and sometimes even joins in the “secret lives of bears’. This guy is darling, with tiny ears, a cheerful expression, big fat feet, a precious round tummy and a tiny little tail (how do those sometimes get left off? I’ll never understand).A little trick I sometimes use with plush is to take a little fingernail scissor and trim the fur that hangs down and obscures the eyes. If you do it right, it brightens the expression and looks quite natural - look at the bear in the picture; he’s had this done for the camera. Okay, if you’ve read this far, you know I’m in love with this little guy - “Nigel” the bear has a special place in my heart. And on my bed.

The bear is SO soft and sits up on its own perfectly. It is an excellent bear for someone who wants some cuddles. A few loose hairs come out early on, but nothing since that initial "shed" after opening the package. The bear looks exactly like the image on Amazon. It is adorably cute.Shipping was a PAIN though! I was home all day on the date the package was to arrive. My home is small and there wasn't any music on - I'm saying all this to indicate that it would be IMPOSSIBLE for me not to hear the doorbell ring (which works!). Fedex didn't show up on delivery date. End of day, I go to the door and find a delivery notice slip! The delivery individual didn't even bother to ring the doorbell or call me! I had to re-schedule delivery and it happened AGAIN! Third time was the charm and I finally got it. Fedex's service was abysmal, and this is NOT the first time Fedex has done this to a shipment of mine.

I sleep with a teddy every night because it’s the perfect cuddle buddy to help prop my chin up when I sleep. I needed a new one, and just couldn’t find any that looked good. Then I found this bear. He’s perfect size, he’s soft and squishy, and he’s cute as a button. But for a while I thought I had to break him in because he was a little too warm to sleep with. This is a natural occurrence with a lot of stuffies so I just tried to wait for him to become matted. Now, some people don’t like the matting- but I have ADHD and sensory processing disorder and for me- the matting is the most comfortable. Well, one wash and he was perfectly matted and not as hot! I’m extremely happy with him still. I wish stuffies came with less prickly tags. I would highly recommend this bear!

This bear was just what we wanted. Being Gund is a great company I guess that may be why it was a bit higher price than we like to pay for stuffed animals. Would have loved a little ribbon around his neck, but no complaints here. The recipient is in love with it and that’s what matters.

I was initially disappointed when I opened my bear because it doesn't look like its picture. It isn't as cute in real life. It's hard to describe precisely in what way it doesn't resemble its picture. It has all the same features as in the product photo. I think the body is a little too long and the eyes are a little too small. But it is very soft and cuddly, so I decided to keep it despite its not-quite-ideal appearance. The quality of the bear is good. I like everything about it except how it looks. : )

So soft and loveable! The person this was bought for has an extensive collection of stuffies and gets hooked on certain ones to sleep with. He has not slept without it since the day he opened it. I consider this a good sized bear, just right to snuggle in your arms, soft, light and cuddly. The price is a bit high but the quality is there and you can't put a price on a beloved stuffed animal.

This teddy bear is by far the nicest I have seen in years. She has such a gentle face, with a sweet smile, and is extremely soft and cuddly. The color is a soft light brown - the color I remember from my own teddy bear 65 years ago! The first one I received had the left leg attached at an odd angle, so that the foot stuck out sideways, but I returned it and the replacement is perfect. I made her a little dress from leftover yarn, but she is just as cute au naturale.

Scoured the shops for a bear with a nice face and failed, was worried about buying on line, should never have doubted it, he is gorgeous, soft, cuddly and has a beautiful face.

For the price of this Gund bear I assumed it would come in a gift box and not a plastic bag. Also does not look at all like the picture.
