Great story & Raff is a dream😍 it's great getting to know the characters in this series & Cathy wait for the next one

This is book 2 in the Default Distraction Series and focuses on Rafferty and Lauren relationship, 2 characters who appear in the first book of the series.The first chapter starts with a very emotionally intense situation which left me wondering if I could ever warm to Rafferty, but as the story developed I began to understand the reasons why they both made the choices that they felt they had to.By the time I had finished the book I loved both characters and felt that I had been part of their journey as they tried to address their issues and reconcile their love for each other.I can't wait for the next book in this series and would highly recommend this read.

My heart will ’always and forever’ be in love with this story. Second chance romance at its best, my eyes flowed effortlessly across the words, soaking every detail of Rafferty and Lauren’s story. So much pain had been endured and when Rafferty reenters Lauren’s life, the past proves damn hard to forget.Lives move on but that piece in the jigsaw has always been missing for both characters, causing much anguish and sadness. I could not put this beautifully crafted story down. It's one of those tales that will have you daydreaming about the characters when real life interupts and steals you away from your reading time. Highly recommend!

Oh Raff, swoon!! I absolutely fell in love with Lauren and Rafferty’s story. I was dying to know what happened ever since meeting them both in Brody (book one). There was drama, angst, secrets, lies and betrayal but there was also some sweet pull on the heartstrings times, great banter, laugh out loud moments and some super hot chemistry! To put it simply this story had a bit of everything and I loved it so much. It’s safe to say I’m a die hard Default Distraction groupie and I can’t wait to see what happens next between the boys and the girls. Amazing read!!

You can't help but not full in love with raff and Loz. Lovely story to read A S Roberts makes it so easy to believe you really know them.

OMG, Lauren and Rafferty’s story messed with my head. One minute I was frustrated with them both, then I was sad for them at all the wasted years. Loved how the whole story unfolded and everything pieced finally together. I think Luke needs his story next!

Rafferty (Default Distraction #2)By A.S. RobertsRated 5 starsThis is so heartwarming and uplifting! A story of overcoming obstacles and long lost love. This book is one that will keep me coming back to read over and over. I love how it slowly uncovers all the problems, the passion and the reasoning. So so much history here. Hearts have been crushed, relationships have been cut off and tears have been cried. It’s amazing how much the past dictates the future and you don’t even realize it until your older. Then one day BAM!These characters made me smile one minute then turn around and be sad the next. I kind of admire Rafferty. Once he realizes how much he has missed and loves Lauren he vows to never give her up again. His comment at one time is how she was not a fleeting thought through the missing years. She was a monthly, daily and every second thought. Awwww! He is a man who goes after what he wants!The secondary characters usually help make a book in my opinion. In here we have the rest of the band members (Brody, Cade, Luke)as well as the other besties (Winter and Amy). They all did wonderful but I have to say one of the BEST ones was Flint. He added his own brand of UMPH! to the story. I really just loved everything about this character. His scenes were unforgettable! Not my first read by this author and it won’t be the last. I enjoy her stories. In this seriesThe author intermixed scenes from the last book (Brody) and this one. Same scene just from another characters POV. I have read this before (in other books) and find it Interesting what the characters are thinking and reacting to from previous books. So I would highly recommend reading Brody first as it is amazing as well! I eagerly look forward to Cade’s story.

It is a fantastic Rockstar romance full of emotion, angst, drama, secrets, lies, betrayal, heartbreak, humour, second chances, love, passion, chemistry, and lots more.Rafferty is the lead guitarist in the band, Default distraction. He, along with his fellow bandmates reached superstardom- playing sold out arenas and gaining fans, fame and massive fortunes. But his life is overshadowed by memories of the woman he walked away from at the beginning of the bands rise to fame. He can’t stop thinking about her and desperately wants to make everything right. But she’s not interested in have her heart shattered again and has worked incredibly hard to rebuild her life after he left her broken. But a when fate thrusts them together again, will they rekindle their love, or has too much time, secrets, lies, and heartache passed for them to ever get over?Ms. Roberts writes so beautifully- she has a real talent for getting her story and characters to really connect with the reader, pulling us in and captivating us with her words. The energy and tension she creates in her stories, and between her characters, is truly masterful. I can’t imagine anyone reading her stories and not enjoying every single moment.The characters are really well written, fully developed individuals, with their own quirks and flaws- which makes them very endearing. I loved catching up with the other band members, as well as meeting the other secondary characters. There is sooo much to love about this book. You really should read it for yourself and discover all the emotive and sexy details for yourself. But be prepared for a book binge, as you won’t want to put it down! I read it in one session, staying up long past my bedtime just so I didn’t have to put it down before knowing how it played out.Can’t wait for the next book!Thank you, Ms. Roberts!

Rafferty (Default Distraction #2) by A.S. RobertsFour StarsI couldn’t imagine going through life the way this couple has. The uncertainty and pain. Knowing that you will never love another the way you love them. The author showed us that no matter the situation there can be something beautiful that comes out of it. That even though you’ve given up on a HEA that doesn’t mean there isn’t one coming your way. I liked Raff because he knew he needed to change and he did. I liked the band mates because they changed as a unit. Loz was an ok character she chose silence and revenge over talking. She wanted to hurt him. I know not everyone is straightforward but to take the words of a child to heart without bringing it up to the other person is stupid. She didn’t want to break his trust. That’s hogwash. Overall a good story though.

It is a story that hooked me in and didn’t let me go until I had read the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Rafferty and Lauren. Lauren is a woman who owns a successful business. She is also a woman whose heart was at one time broken. She has worked hard at rebuilding her life. Then she once again faces the man that broke her heart, Rafferty. Rafferty is part of the rock band Default Distraction. He is handsome and is adored by fans. The only one he has adored is Lauren. She is still the one he wants. What does the future hold for Lauren and Rafferty? There is still a connection and chemistry between them. Will she take a second chance with him? Read this book to find out. This story does have steamy moments that make the temperature in the room rise. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading. I couldn’t help but care about Lauren and Rafferty and wanted them to find happiness. I also enjoyed reading about the other characters and how they interact with Rafferty and Lauren. There are both heartbreaking and heartwarming moments in this book. Highly recommended reading.

I love this series! Rafferty’s and Lauren’s story is a second chance love story. Their story is filled with difficulty because so much time has gone by and they don’t know each other as grown ups. Love ultimately covers all!
