The chicken plucker works great. Purchased 1 and there were very large dents in it. Box looked great. Returned it. Purchased second one, and again box looked great. Got it out and 1 of the wheels had fallen apart on it. Purchased new wheel and installed it. Item works great.

I rarely write reviews and typically reserve them for either amazing products or very poor products. This is a very poor product. Many others have stated that the plucker arrives with damaged sheet metal. This is the case with mine as well. However, being an avid DIYer & engineer I typically overlook such claims by other buyers due to them having unrealistic expectations or the problems easily fixed and them blowing it up out of proportion. I was willing to overlook the issues with packaging and shipping but what I'm not going to overlook is a faulty product. The plucker is too harsh on the birds - it broke many legs, ripped away good meat, and even left behind some feathers. I was willing to overlook this as well, what really did it in for me is that I was terrified of getting around the plucker while it was on, the motor lacks a speed controller and spins at an outrageous RPM. One bird was thrown out of the tumbler. The sellers need to take this product off the market until they can ensure its safety. Nothing like getting hit with a dead half plucked chicken with missing mucle & sharp bones.

First Review - (2 stars) I looked at building one of these, and with my time I decided to purchase it. When it arrived it was missing nuts and bolts for the wheels and no instructions as shown in the pictures. Without the wheels on, the motor, bolt, and gears hit the floor. Which makes it inoperable. I am unable to give a complete review at this time since I have not received the nuts and bolts. From what I can see, it does not come with a built in water sprayer like other brands. The size is a good size and should be capable and do a good job. I will update my review once I get the parts to do so. Until then I am not able to test the product nor can I actually use it, which is why I purchased it.Update #1 - (3 stars) I was able to go purchase the missing nuts and bolts. Attached the wheels and I am now able to set it up and test it. Seller did refund me the price of the nuts and bolts.Update #2 - (3 stars) we have used this a couple of times now. However the rubber is scratching and breaking. We will be ordering new rubber fingers to replace the ones that have broke.

30 chickens done fast! The scalding is required or it just doesn't work right but so worth it. I am not getting compensated for this review. I just love this thing. Don't do it for long or bones will break. It doesn't come with the water sprayer but easy to just put the hose on it while it spins. Less than 1 minute and DONE!

Like the ease of using it but the first one came highly dented, the replacement was almost as bad. Figured a third one would probably be dented as well and needed to get chickens butchered. Takes a long time to clean out with hose. Metal is much thinner than expected especially for the price. Would not buy again.

This is an honest review. I have nothing to gain from this. So here you go if your deciding to buy this plucker;We decided to upgrade from our current plucker to this (had a $400 plucker from Lowes that could only do one bird at a time). I must say, we're glad we did. I had my initial doubts when ordering, but after just processing 26 meat birds (Freedom Rangers) all doubts were washed away.First, this plucker is HUGE!!!! We did 2 birds at once (6-8lbs/each) and it had no problem. You could easily do more birds than that! I'd say at least 4 large birds or one turkey!We process in open air outside, so we didn't put the wheels on. The wheels would work well if you had a solid floor. If not, you u will NEED 2 people to move this. The handles provided are solid though. You'll be impressed by it's size!Our last plucker had a water attachment, this one does not. Kind of a bummer, but it wasn't really a problem - just get yourself an attachment nozzle to your hose and have it near by. You have to spray water while operating. This let's the feathers drain properly out the shoot.The plucker never jammed or got bogged down, but we did stop to preemptively clear out any feathers or spots that looked like they were getting clogged. The water/feather discharge shoot on this is amazing. We put a large plastic trash bag on the ground where the feathers discharged. Clean up was easy!The instructions are garbage. The errors are incredible (punctuation, grammar, sentences). It made NO sense! Albeit the machine is easy to use and self explanatory. It will make you laugh though.The shipping was quick, but there were a few dings in the metal. We weren't concerned because it's a chicken Plucker and it did not effect the operation. Lastly, one of the fingers was placed in upside down in the drum, so I had to remove and put upright.We messed up the water temperature on the first few birds. We were at around 150-155, which was to high for this plucker. It destroyed the skin. Once we got it right, around 135-140, we had no more tears and the last 20 birds were perfect!Having said all that, I highly recommend this plucker. We were debating on getting the Rite XL from Coops N More, but it was more expensive than we could afford, so we "settled" on this. I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised. This exceeded our expectation!

We usually skin outs birds cause I hate plucking them. That takes time to but this 30 sec and the bird was plucked. Would recommend this machine to everyone
