Seek, Color, Find Nature: A Treasure Hunt and Coloring Adventure (Design Originals) Paperback – June 15, 2016

I'm not "into" treasure hunts, so I'm ignoring that part of it. The pictures are complicated enough to be fun, but not to frustrate you with a million tiny fragments, and cover a variety of subjects, most of them flowers and birds and butterflies. Some have written sayings to color-in, bordered by (usually) flowers: "There is beauty surrounding us in the simplest things," for instance, framed by leaves and ladybugs. The pictures are on one side only (the back side tells what you're supposed to "hunt") and the pages are perforated. All the pictures have colored frames as if they were matted; the colors are mostly subdued ones, but I found it off-putting since they didn't necessarily match my color-schemes. (One only needs to cut them off, if that's the case, but it may serve as inspiration for some colorists to have a frame.) There are several pages in the beginning with coloring information and colored versions of some of the pictures. The paper is a little thin for gel-pens; I didn't try them, since I work with pencils, but I'd be very careful--and definitely put something behind the page!--about using other media.

I got this because it was different from anything else I have. I like it for those times I have the time to just get wrapped up in something and forget all the other hectic things this time of year. Figure this one will last me quite some time LOL
