Be sure to eject the capsule!
I have used these capsules off and on for a couple of years so was very interested in trying the new model. Especially now, that Nespresso has raised the prices on their capsules again. I buy wonderful fabulous coffee from an Armenian family in San Francisco called Henry’s Coffee, and use it in these capsules. It was great before, but now it is even more rich perhaps because the capsule rotates more easily. I have learned in the past to be sure to eject the capsule immediately, as I did get a capsule stuck over a year ago. I do appreciate that the manufacturer now warns u to be sure to do just that! But I love this capsule that provides me a much cheaper but flavorful coffee without the need to recycle endless capsules.

in chrome. Any suggestions. Oh, yes, it works with regular store bought capsules with coffee in it.
I have a Breville Vertuo Coffee machine. This machine worked great with the stainless steel pods that you fill, for about three months. Now it drips not, and not hot. Only works with store bought coffee pods. This product is awful. Do NOT buy. Any ideas. I called customer service for the Breville people and they said I should clean it once a week; I did. And it worked one time and never since.

So far so good!
I was given a Nespresso machine and a supply of coffee pods and have been looking forward to my morning coffee ever since. What I wasn't looking forward to is buying the Nespresso pods. They are expensive for my budget, and I'm a little bothered by the waste they produce- although they do provide a prepaid bag to send the used pods back to Nespresso to recycle. So I decided to try a re-useable cup instead of a pod. I've only made about 6 cups of coffee, but I'm pleased with it so far. It was tricky to get enough coffee into the cup and pack it down, so I bought a metal tamper and that helped immensely. Be sure to measure your cup and buy the right size tamper. Making coffee is a little noisier since this cup is heavier than the aluminum pods, but other than that, it's working well. I'm experimenting with different coffees and grinds to find the 'perfect' one.

almost but..
This is better than first model. However a more adequate instruction would be to not overfill it. about 3 scoops and pack leaving room otherwise coffee comes out the top when filled with 4. Also, after brewing brew is still left in the machine about a couple of tablespoons creating a potential clogging issues.Brew tasted good and good foam but even though I flushes a run with water the machine started to create more of a pressure noise at the end.returning as the risk of ruining the machine and mess of cleaning out the area where the capsule is afterward isnt worth the hastle. will try foil tops

Almost 5 stars...
I am a long time Nespresso user and continue to buy 8-10 sleeves of their capsules monthly (mostly for my wife who does not have the patience to play "Barista" like I do!). But if you're so inclined, I find this product, like their earlier version, to be an enjoyable way of experimenting with different types of coffee brands, flavors, grinds, etc.; even making my own blends to suit seasonal variations. This latest pod being reviewed here is slightly lighter (thinner metal) than the prior version. Apparently some folks' coffee machines had problems with the heavier pod. However, both versions work fairly well in my DeLonghi nespresso maker. This latest pod also differs from the previous in 3 other ways from what I can observe: the 24 small holes in the lid are now even slightly smaller; the center hole in the lid is now a complete hole rather than several perforated holes,; and the bar code is now a sticker (extras provided) rather than painted on the lid. This version, like the old, seems to make acceptable coffee but in doing so I have to take certain precautions. First, you must use fine ground (espresso ground) coffee. If you use coarser grinds the coffee will be weak and you won't get a nice "crema." Second, when making my pods I find that if I don't "top off" the fine grinds with a top layer scoop of slightly coarser ground coffee, and tamp it lightly, the fine grinds will make their way into some of the 24 smaller holes in the lid thereby clogging the flow and sometimes causing enough blockage to result in a back-flow that causes a puddle to form on the countertop (underneath my coffee maker). I have this problem with the original pod version too, but not quite as bad. I suppose it's possible, if others aren't having this problem, it could be a problem unique to MY coffee maker.Over all, I like this product and will continue to use the new and the older version pods daily. They are, in my opinion, far superior to the other models that use glue-on aluminum lids, or even the press-fit metal lids -- both nearly destroyed my machine. Just be sure when you screw on the lid, first wipe off any coffee grinds that may adhere to the threads. Also, once the percolation process is complete, remove the pod. It will be a little hot to the touch, but sometimes if you keep it in the machine for more than a minute it becomes a little difficult (though not impossible) to extract it later. And finally, if you like your coffee stronger, you may want to hit the "end" button after about 6 or 7 ounces rather than letting it run the full 8 ounce process. (Some Nespresso makers have a programable function that allows you to "set and forget" this early shut-off option -- read your manual). So, once again, I'll give this product 4 out of 5 stars. I was hoping to give it 5, but it's still not 100% perfect. I believe one day this company will get it right. They are very responsive to any questions from customers, and seem to be working hard making continuous improvements to one day in the future earn that 5th star!

Well made, but
This was very nicely made; very heavy duty, but it made my Breville Nespresso Veturo make incredibly loud noises. I was afraid it was going to cause damage. The espresso came out with cream which was very nice, but the espresso itself was weaker and a little watery. I used Illy espresso and packed it well. I tried it about 10x, bc Nespresso capsules are too expensive for my addiction, lol. and I’m not the only espresso addict in the house. I wanted this to solve my $$$ problem, but it didn’t. If you don’t mind a. Slightly weaker espresso, bc you are making a latte or mixed drink you probably won’t notice, but it is very loud towards the middle to end of the brew cycle. I think it’s because it is spinning in the holder and it is heavier than the Nespresso aluminum capsule, but aI don’t want to take a chance of causing damage. I hope this helps…it’s an honest review not an angry one.All this talk about an espresso is making me want one !!! Have a great day
