Loved the way this book was written as a story of Stripe yet an instruction manual also. Great job.

This is a fantastic book to guide you and your young person (or just you) through the process of watching up-close the transformation of caterpillar to butterfly. We did it just like the book describes and it was an amazing experience for my kids and me. I think my favorite part is when you wake up one morning and your caterpillar has built himself a cocoon with a beautiful gold seal, like a jewel. Almost more amazing than when the butterfly emerges, but nothing can beat that. Incredible experience and this book answers all your questions and more! highly recommend!

This is a fun and educational book about Monarch butterflies. It is written for both kids and adults, with clear instructions on how to raise Monarch butterflies plus a cute story about a butterfly named Stripe. The author writes from her own experience of raising Monarch butterflies as a child. This book provides both practical and useful information. I bought a copy and gave it to my 6-year old neighbor!

Raising Little Stripe is a really cute book and great way for kids (and adults!) to learn about monarch butterflies. The book is structured in a way that you can read just the storyline about a caterpillar and its journey to becoming a butterfly, or you can read just the facts and how-to's about protecting monarchs, or you can read both at the same time. It's a great source of information and a fun way to learn about the amazing monarch. Also, the illustrations are adorable and represent diversity with both race and gender, which I value when reading books to my three children.

Science is best learned through stories, and this magical book combines a personal story and science to gently entice the world to better understand the plight and the life cycle of monarch butterflies. The art work is multicultural and gives a picture perfect walk through each step of the process to raise and release a monarch. I bought a copy for myself but now I'll be ordering more for my great nieces for Easter this year. I might put a mason jar with it so they're ready to go on a hunt for a caterpillar! I love the fun illustrations that teach very clearly how to care for a monarch from egg to butterfly. The parallel stories of "how to" with the fictional story of Little Stripe is so creative!

This book provides a wonderful combination of a narrative from Little Stripe's point of view along with detailed, accurate, and easy-to-do instructions and pictures on how to care for and help caterpillars reach their potential of becoming our wonderful monarch butterflies. This is the book you will want to follow to do just that if you are a parents grandparent, or like me, an educator. This book provides a passion for respecting our natural world.

Good for all levels and the there is a story Incorporated in the instructions as well. Fun book to have if you want to help monarchs flourish.
