Solid performer, well worth it. Build quality could be improved.
Note: I am not a professional, but an at home user wanting the benefits of pro level equipment. These clippers have plenty of power, which is not a surprise considering it’s the same clipper internally as the wahl cordless magic clip and cordless sterling 4, both highly praised by professionals. I used this primarily as a beard trimmer to maintain a short stubble style beard under 3mm for which it worked perfectly. My only complaint with the designer is the build quality, it’s mostly plastic and does feel a bit cheap but nothing that is a dealbreaker for me, the magic clip and sterling share very similar plastic bodies. This was only an issue for because of the noise the plastic top housing made sometimes when adjusting my grip or holding it a bit tighter, the body would creak and make noises as the plastic moved around. Again not a deal breaker but spending around $80 you’d hope this wouldn’t come up. For transparency I returned this item not for this reason but wanting a different style clipper and have now returned to the cordless magic clip, and the magic clip at least initially doesn’t creak and make the noises I experienced with the designer. But the price difference I feel for most people will make up for this.ALSO anyone noticing hair or signs of use when first receiving wahl clippers, there is a notice packaged with the user manual that very clearly explains the quality control testing that is likely responsible for many of these negative reviews. This is not deny that there may be cases of buyers receiving repackaged returns, but I suspect many see residue from Wahl QC testing and assume they received used clippers.

Great clippers!
I have male pattern baldness. Few things irked me more then going to the barber and paying to get my hair cut. I swear I think they'd stand behind me and clip the scissors together a few extra times just so I'd think I was getting my money's worth. Five to ten minutes TOPS and I'd be out the door having paid exactly as much as the hairy schmuck in the chair next to me - took 2 or 3 times longer to cut HIS friggin' hair! So, I'd previously bought a Braun Head & Beard trimmer and started cutting my own hair. It was cheaper and lighter and smaller then these trimmers. It wasn't bad but the battery life wasn't great and they didn't have great power, I had to go over everything repeatedly to get everything cut evenly. Sometimes I had to plug them back in to finish the job. They also didn't do a great job of trimming the back of my neck closely. These trimmers are better in every way. I use the #1 guide with the trimmer set to zero gap and buzz everything down in record time! Cuts evenly and quickly. I use a neck trimming guide, "Quality Time Neck Hair Line" (purchased here on Amazon) to finish up the back close enough to shaving close to call it a wash. Overall I couldn't be happier. I cut my own hair every 2 or 3 weeks or so and have only recharged this thing a few times - the battery seems to last forever. If you're in my situation, don't compromise like I did and struggle with a cheaper pair. Get what the professionals use and never pay for another haircut again!

Got the right model and it seems great.
The Wahl Professional Cordless 8591 is what i ordered, and is what I received. I did get the correct model. The Blade was also straight right off the bat. Did not need to adjust it. Used it already for Covid-19 Haircut, and the wife did a great job. Easy to use and works great.Used 8 Guard on entire head to trim it down.Took shower to clean off the hair and wet my remaining head.Used the 6 Guard on the top of my head, then used 3 guard on the sides.Last, the wife used the provided 4 Guard to blend the sides and top together.Looks great and provided a great do it yourself cut. Slightly expensive, but would recommend. Seems good quality and would last awhile. Also it did come with about a 60% charge. would of been able to use right off the bat if wanted. However i charged it first fully before my cut.

Good set of clippers...very sharp...cordless is a big feature.
I'll preface this review by saying I am coming from a Panasonic ER153a cordless clipper. That particular clipper, in my opinion, is in a separate class.Pros:-Very sharp... Definitely sharper than my ER153a, which makes me realize that I should have bought a new blade for it at some point.-Charges quickly-Battery lasts for a few haircuts-Wide assortment of attachment combs-Taper leverCons:-Noise and vibration are just like a typical plug in clipper. I was hoping it was more like the ER153a which was quiet with zero vibration.-Attachment combs...a bit flimsy, sharp/pointy, long, and they do not connect real firmly to the clipper.-Just a cardboard case for everything.-Slightly heavy/bulkyIn all, I do like the clippers and will be keeping them. My ER153a died, and unfortunately they don't make it anymore. Most of the high end Panasonic clippers are EU only, and I don't want to deal with having US adapters. These were a fraction of the cost, and you get what you pay for. In time I'm sure I'll be plenty happy with them (once I forget about how much I loved the ER153a!)
