My hands sweat like crazy throughout all my yoga practices and its been a real struggle for me to find a yoga mat that prevented me from slipping. I have a Manduka Eko Light that I've been using for the past 3 years, but my hands still slipped like crazy on it. Got a Manduka yogi toes towel, which sorta helped, but then my feet were slipping everywhere! So I figured I'd try something else in fear of slipping and hurting myself.I've used this mat for several practices thus far and I am blown away by how sticky it is! Finally my hands can get as sweaty as they want, and I'm no longer worried about falling out of poses. Really nice padding thickness, and feels nice beneath the feet.My only piece of advice: When I first got it, I decided to roll the mat in on it self after each class and leave it stationary like that in my bag. DO NOT DO THIS! Only roll this mat with the top side facing at you. Doing it the other way caused creases because of the thin polyurethane top. While I've been able to reduce them by folding it the right way, its a shame I did it in the first place just to make it easy when rolling out. But don't make my mistake!Overall, highly recommended for anyone who's looking looking to stick to yoga for a while and wants a nice mat that won't let them slip.

I'm fairly new to the game and have never owned a really nice mat but have owned some 20 dollar mats using yoga towels. But this mat seems as legit as they come. Really sticky, easy to wipe down, thick and dense, so pretty heavy for a mat, but the weight doesnt mean anything, im not hiking with it. Good padding for my knees. Anyhow, I think I have the best mat in my class by far. As far as longevity, idk as ive only used this for 3 classes so far. I will update this review if it doesn't hold up. Great value, better than paying 80+ bucks for the competitor mats. Extremely pleased with my purchase.

This mat is exactly what I wanted, but for about half the price. It is heavy, it does NOT skid on a hard floor (which my Gaiam mat from Target did) and the rubber surface is "sticky" enough to grip well whether my hands are dry as a bone or dripping sweat. I go to extremes with this! I used to slide around under both scenarios, and with this mat, I don't. If you are a sweaty person, this is a very nice, substantial mat. I've practiced on it 2x now, and absolutely love it. Highly recommend if you've been looking at other mats and don't want to spend tons of cash.

I love this mat! I sweat - like dripping off my arms sweat - and this mat keeps my grip, keeps me steady and is easy to clean. My only complaint would be the weight of it. But honestly since I don't need a yoga mat towel anymore. I'm good with it being a little heavy 😉👍👍👍

I'm very satisfied with this mat. I used it in a hot yoga class, and true to my expectations it remained grippy even as I sweat up a storm. Whereas the manduka black pro begins well and becomes slippery, the Vikuta is firm and grippy throughout.It's an excellent mat for hot yoga. You won't need a mat towel.

Pretty new to hot yoga and this may made a big difference. No slipping anymore. The length is perfect and the amount of padding is just right.

I was so happy to throw my old mat away when I tried this one! I didn't have to use a towel- it was super grippy and absorbed moisture. Immediately you can tell it's high quality and sturdy. Love!

The only mat I've never slipped on in a hot yoga class!
