A Ting Hummingbird 7 inch Metal and Glass Wireless Garden Rain Gauge

The gauge arrived very quickly and in good condition. It is attractive enough. However, when I compared readings to my neighbors', it read significantly higher than their's. I suspect it is because the sunflower decoration deflects rainwater back into the guage cylindar. I just sawed off the sunflower and will be interested to see if my next reading compares more closely to my neighbors'. Readings still wildly inaccurate. Nice decoration. Worthless tool.

As an assistant super-intendent on a golf course my husband relies on the weather predictions and accurate rainfall counts. I thought "this will be an excellent addition to my garden by the entry walk way" He can see it very easily every day and it'll blend in with my other plants". Well, he likes it so much, he set it up on the deck railing so he can see it every morning as soon as he looks out or walks out of the door. Not TOO girly even though it's a flower. Maybe I'll get solar powered decorative lights or something that matches it to add to that entry way garden.

This is a cute rain gauge, and it measures up to 7 inches, which is a lot. However, it has two problems - there is no stake to anchor it into the ground, and the bottom of the glass tube is not secured at all. Thus, with a gust of wind the whole gauge will likely topple over, and the glass tube will likely blow and break.

This will never stay upright in wind/rain. It is top-heavy. Needs a "stake" in the bottom to push into the ground. The glass measure sat crooked.Too bad because it is really pretty...

Design is incomparable with collecting rainfall. Flower catches wind causing item to topple. The ornamentation also deflects the rain causing inaccurate measurement of quantity of moisture. Only positive element is the ability to view the measurements printed on the tube. Suggest better design to make item functional. First time item used it was blown over and the tube shattered.
