Nice easy read
I enjoyed this book, which is nice, light and easy to read, with magic, fantasy and murder in store. Issy and her cousins, Raine, Ember and Gray, are witches, with a nice line in familiars, I love that Raines’ is a plant. There’s Brimstone too, a talking cat, who looks down at the familiars, and has a nice, gently sarcastic wit. There’s a good plot, with a murder outside Issys store, making her an initial suspect. Which of course, encourages her to try to find out who the real murderer is, with the help of her cousins. Add a bit of romance, and a werewolf, and you have a lovely read.

Complicated but good
A good read, a small town rife with magic witches and lots of other paranormal entities, a murder brings in the police and the paranormal FBI but all is not as clear cut as it first appears. Plots within plots dodgy land deals, poisonous plants, and rare exotic animals are all clues in this hard to put down witchy mystery, a fun read, Baz.

Nice pleasant read.
I genuinely liked this book the story and characters. It was well written not too far fetched. I only gave 4 stars as I feel the characters could have had a little more depth and they storyline could have been a little more complex. Nevertheless it was a breath of fresh air to read something different and I did enjoy it. Will look forward to reading the others in the series hoping the characters evolve further.

Witchy doings
I loved loved loved this book. It had everything, murder, mystery, witches, werewolves and spells. Leighann's writings and her style off books. I love the familiars and talking animals. Don't ever stop writing Leighann. Your books bring me joy and much needed escapism x

easy read
Easy read , some intrigue but not over the top . Have read Leighann's work before , this seemed a bit flat compared to the others . Cover catches your eye . A bit remenisant of Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock movie for me
