I was happy buying this as i saw it came with so many colors, i got lots of greens and blue, only 1 black and 1 yellow. So it’s not super even when it comes to all the colors, so if that’s not something you’re okay with, know that. I don’t really mind, since i got more of the colors i use more. So far 2 colors had a small knot in them. The strings are soft. Very few cons, but i think it’s still worth buying.

Super Value ! Received exactly 447 skeins, fantastic assortment, heavy on greens, blues, reds/pinks. This is a nice assortment for those that do not require brand name quality, presentation, or specifics. Great for beginners.Not labelled, No numbers, arrived in three bags, a bit disheveled, glue sticks the labels to each other, some skeins a little unraveled. Several duplicates, little to no black or pure whites.Floss separates easily into single strands. Floss pulls from most skein bundles easily.Overall, very good value, very useable in a variety of crafts.I’ve used many brands, Anchor, DMC, and several non-name brands. I’d buy again for basic crafting purposes.

I received these yesterday so I can have a more robust embroidery floss collection on hand for random projects. While I’m not super picky at this point because I am a beginner, I know I will be needing to use an iron for some projects, so I prefer cotton. This listing says in a few places that this gloss is 100% cotton. I just did the burn test and this thread MELTED, meaning it’s definitely not a natural fiber. I have to do more testing to see what will happen when I iron this thread, but I’m definitely nervous about it. It is soft and shiny and Would be great for learning embroidery and friendship bracelets. I will update when I know more about how it performs in real projects and the iron test.

OK so I'm very happy with this purchase but had to take a couple stars off for a couple annoyances:Cons- This isn't the black lable/CXC floss the pictures show. It's the seller's rebranded generic. Basically a generic of a generic.- It's not 100% cotton as stated but is a mix of cotton and synthetic, though the synthetic amount seems to be very negligible.- There's no numbering on the labels so it's hard to match up to DMC standard if you need a specific shade which can be VERY hard to do as some shades are very similar to each other.- Not the softness of the black label/CXC I expected and there's a bit of fuzzing when you work with the floss a while, thought it's not too bad. Just annoying at times.That being said.....Pros- Great value for what it is. The quality isn't bad, just not as expected though still MUCH better than paying full price for official DMC.- Colors are VERY close to DMC and for the most part vibrant and match well enough.- Color/shade variety is well done though it would be nice to see more grays, off blacks and off whites.- For a beginner it's a great start especially if you're just learning and might need practice floss in case of mistakes.- Sturdy for generic brandAll in all it's worth the money and I recommend it. If you're doing a bigger project and need a floss that doesn't fuzz/pill as easy then the extra price for black label/CXC is worth it but this still does a very good job. Much better than paying hundreds for a full DMC set.
