The mask does not feel like other clay masks. Actually, clay (kaolin) is only the third ingredient after water and glycerin, I think, so this might be why. Probably because of all the other ingredients, it does not leave the skin powdery clean. It has creamy texture with some occasional graininess. It did not absorb all the oil from my skin after use, unlike the usual clay masks that do that very well. Used after a cleaner, it left my skin nice and soft and pleasantly supple to the touch
