Philonious reviewed the citrine stone already and indicated that his testing for hardness came up with mohs equivalent of glass. My testing is also confirming his results. Glass hardness. But what do you expect for $10. Pretty glass piece that has some unusual characteristics. Jewelry worthy; probably not durable enough? From positive perspective, It has consistent interesting color and does have crystal characteristics from refraction aspects.

Quite large and colorful. The color does vary, a little, from stone to stone.

The color is great but it doesn’t look real. My app says it is really citrine but the edges are soft and rounded, not sharp, and it has no visible inclusions whatsoever. For a stone of this size it just feels like resin. Not cold, and warms up way too fast in my hand. Not a good sign. I’m sure there are some other tests. I have not scratched it or weighed its specific gravity yet.

It's really pretty, but it doesn't test as citrine it comes up in the glass range on a presidium II gem tester. The roundness of the edges and color uniformity and clarity etc tell me it's most likely glass, but it is pretty to look at. Just don't expect a natural citrine. For 9.99 it is a very nice looking Citrine colored glass gem. I think the seller could have made that more clear but it does say "Stone Name - Created Citrine" in the description. Still worth it for 9.99 I think despite the possibly misleading descriptions.
