I was looking for a wireless transmitter that has no fan (at least on the transmitter) and this Shimbol being the best for the budget I gave it a try and all I can say is that I am pretty happy with it.Used it in studio and also on outside photoshoot for screen record and also it was a good way to show my model the results on my Ninja V. I checked back all my screen records and none had dropped frame or any issues. I have not tested it for distance so far, was staying within 20-30 meters, but tested it for latency and my test results shows that the stated 0.08s (80 ms) could be in an interference free area. In a busy urban setting with lots of electrical devices around it I've measured latency between 150ms to 200ms between the TX and RX unit and 250ms to 400ms between the TX and an android phone. This is still pretty impressive for me and for my application the slight lag is not an issue, but if you want to use it for extremely precise focus pulls where timing is critical then this 1/5th of a second latency might give you hard times. But the image quality is superb, I got very usable footage out of it and most importantly it was reliable, I did not experience any dropped frame or bandwidth loss on my 2 shoots with it. For the price this is an amazing item.Another advantage is the hidden antenna, so nothing sticks out, which is a huge plus for me. The build quality feels good, most of the body is metal, which is good for heat dissipation only the top part is plastic, probably for the antenna area.Overall I am very happy with my purchase.
