Loved the main characters! If I like the main characters, then I enjoy their adventures. It was a fun book and I did laugh out loud several times!!! Thank you.

Sissy is so sassy and fun and Mitch is just as great. The two of them jump,if the page as the story begins with their friendship blossoms and they try to keep things platonic when their is so much chemistry. Plus the bounty on Mitch’s head only adds more excitement.

The more of these you read, the more you love, and that's especially true when re-reading! I forgot how much I loved Sissy Mae and Mitch's story.For one, they start off as a really good friends who see through each other's BS and like each other anyways. And the subtle attraction they feel for one another simmers reeeeal low until finall--BLAM--it explodes and keeps going. It's more than your typical 'friends-to-lover' story because its not one secretly longing for the other and not wanting to ruin the friendship; it's two people who truly care about each other and too much to do their normal basic "relationship" thing. And because they get to know each other, the burn is that much sweeter.And in Smithtown craziness, a touch of witchery, and backstabbing wolves, and you have the recipe for a rollicking good time.Plus, if you really loved seeing the previous characters in the story, not only do the pop up a lot, but their voices don't change. They're still distinct and completely whole characters, and that's what sets these apart from your typical shifter stories.Overall, I love these crazy shifters and I'm so happy I've gone back to enjoy them once again.

Sissy Mae and Mitch have been friends for ever. Sissy is a wolf shifter and Mitch is a lion shifter. After attending Sissy’s brothers wedding, they end up in bed together. But what happens next sends them running back to Sissy’s hometown of Tennessee. Mitch is shot and the only safe place Mitch will be safe is in a town full of wolves. Mitch was an undercover cop when he saw a young woman’s murder and he is set to testify and then enter into the witness protection. Will Sissy give up her wandering ways for Mitch?Great story but sometimes I had to reread a part to figure out who’s point of view was being told. Now that I think about I’m sort of confused about who had the hit put on Mitch. You have fighting, suspense, and an old crocodile.

I do like this series. I really loved the characters. I have to admit this moved a little slow for me especially most of the first half. Let me tell you Sissy Mae is quite a character. She is certainly an alpha female and she is crazy and can kick some major butt! Mitch is downright cute and funny. He's led a mysterious life lately until it sorta came out in the last book. Undercover cop and now he's having to testify until someone tries to kill him. Mitch and Sissy have been friends for awhile. At least thats what they've told themselves. To protect him until the trial and after the near death issue she takes him home to Smithville. Let me tell you that was an experience. She's got brothers there but since Bobby Ray is on his honeymoon he wasnt there but makes an appearance later. Her other brothers Jackie, Sammy, Donnie, and Travis are there. She doesnt get along at all with Travis. He seems to think he'll be taking over when Bubba retires as pack alpha. He's jealous of Sissy because he could never get her to submit. She's an alpha female how can he expect her to? Anyways, he's always disliked her and disrespects her. Brothers shouldnt do that to sisters and it baffles Sammy. Other than Bobby Ray he's good to her and treats her like a sister. Defends her. Funny thing is its all realized later that Travis will never be the alpha but Sammy will someday because he's got a level head and isn't so quick to be so unfair. Travis wants it for the wrong reasons...power. Her other 2 brothers kinda go along with Travis. Dont worry he gets his butt handed to him by Sissy. Funniest scene to me was when her ex boyfriend Gil from when she was 16 comes back and tries to force her into a mating. Its a bad deal and not something that is tolerated. He sure gets his ass handed to him by Bobby Ray and Sissy. Then Mitch and Brendan comes flying through and they toss him like a ball in between them shaking the crap outta him. It was just a funny deal there. He lived through it but wont be walking anytime soon. The question is will Mitch be able to tame Sissy Mae? Does Mitch want to? They both fight it hard but love succeeds in the end.

Sissy is the brother of Bobby Ray Smith and is an Alpha female with her own pride, she is a very strong willed woman with a heart of gold if you treat her right.Mitch is the half brother of Brandon and Marissa Shaw and has been working for the police undercover, however now he is in trouble as he is now a star witness on a case that could get him killed.When Mitch is shot in front of Sissy in his hotel room, Sissy agrees to take his back home to Smithville Tennesse in order to keep him safe. However being a pride male he is lazy, wants to be looked after and eats Sissy out of house and home and is constantly hungry.The constant togetherness has the couple fighting and then making up as the sexual awareness ups in spades and sissy showing Mitch just how good a cook she is.Although the case gets sorted in ways out of Mitch control, there is one dangerous part where an assassin tries to kill him in Smithville, but a family member and Sissy manage the situation and Mitch finds himself a free man.I really liked this book and loved how Mitch and Sissy reacted to each other and the way the packs and family stand up for each other again.

I love this author, she writes banter like no one else. If you need a good laugh out loud book, then any in this series will do it. This book is ideal for someone looking for a sizzling paranormal romance with a bit extra. It not only has laughs, and romance, it also has outside plot.Mitch, a lion shifter, is a cop, who is currently in hiding because he has a bounty on his head. He has to give evidence in a murder trial for a mobster he saw murder a young girl, whilst he was undercover. He’s currently hiding with his brother and whilst staying with him he met Sissy Mae Smith.Sissy Mae is a wolf shifter and an alpha female, and some would say she has a screw loose. The female has no fear and no filter, and Mitch thinks she’s the best friend he ever had because no one else is as much a mischief maker as he is, except Sissy Mae.When Mitch gets shot Sissy Mae takes him to Tennessee to her home town to hide him from the bounty hunters. This home town is one she couldn’t wait to get away from as a teenager and hates to visit. Family politics ensue along with danger.I really enjoy reading these books. They are pure escapism, but they aren’t boring or too predictable. I highly recommend them.

I loved this book I think Shelley laurenston books are awesome and this book is brilliant the story is very good the characters are very strong, very quirky and very very funny I cannot recommend this BOOK enough y'all enjoy now.

I really love these books you have romance with a seance of humour , violence with a seance of justice and it a jolly good laugh what more could you ask for. A great read well recommended. I'm off to read the next in the series .

A great series from Shelly Laurenston, I always know there'll be laughs to be had and that I'll be re-reading and re-reading as I have with this book.
