Edith Wharton and Cosmopolitanism Hardcover – September 13, 2016

The volume you sent was completely flawed. It was bound erratically: more than two/thirds of the book are upside down, then some pages are upside down.To read it I'll have to tear the binding . It's not what I expected.Now that I've read the book, I must add that it is also sloppily edited. I'm quoted t length on p. 84 for an article I did not publish. I attended the 2012 Wharton Conference in Florence, but my paper ( like other papers of Italian scholars or other foreign scholars) was not printed. My paper on Edith Wharton's Risorgimento in The Confessional was published by CIRVI, which acknowledged its originality and new findings. I wrote a long essay as an afterword to my Italian ed. of The Valley of Decision (Reggio Emilia, Diabasis, 1999), which has never been quoted correctlly because it's written in Italian. Italicum est non legitur!
