Barry M Cosmetics Gelly Nail Paint, Eucalyptus, shade light green

Absolutely gorgeous colour, not bright and 'in your face,' not that I don't like brighter colours it's just that this is a colour for those days where you want a more muted shade. I have ordered so many of these shades, bright, muted and nude type colours so will review accordingly as I use them. Please bear in mind that the results everyone gets with any polish, does depend on your application, whether a base & top coat is used, nail beds and drying time/patience etc. For me, I usually buff and shine my nails once a month or so but at the time of using this I did not so have a few slight ridges. I applied two coats, shaking the bottle periodically to keep the colour uniform and allowed extra drying time between coats. I found the brush covered my whole nail pretty much but then again, it does depend on the width of your own nails on if you'd get the same experience. I'd say that the drying time is pretty quick too but I do like to take my time when indulging in beauty regimes and self-care. I found that some of the polish chipped after day three but I would expect that from any polish given how active my hands are, some don't even last that long though. I'm overall impressed with the Gelly nail polish, it certainly gives a Gel-like finish in both looks and feel and will be buying more when my favourite shades run low. Quick delivery too.

This is the first time I've tried the Barry M Gelly Nail Polish range. I chose the shade Hibiscus. It's a lovely purple shade and accurate to the shade on the bottle.I'm really impressed with this nail polish. It looks great on my nails, replicates the gel look really well and has lasted much longer than many other polishes I've tried. I used it alongside Barry M All in one Basecoat, Toapcoat and Nail Hardener so that may have helped with longevity and it's definitely a combination I'd use again.I got 4-5 days out of this polish before it started to show very slight signs of wear at the ends of my nails. That's really good going for me as I'm not particularly kind to my hands and I'm forever washing them. After another fresh top coat on day 4, I got a few more days out of it too, so it was a full week before i even thought about removing and replacing it.I like the applicator brush since it was easy to use in terms of accuracy. I'm really not that great at painting my nails so this is important to me. I found the polish to be quite fluid when applying it so had to wipe plenty of excess off the brush before using it but it dries thick (the attached photo is just one coat of colour) it covers my nail ridges well and has a really glossy shine to it, even without a topcoat. It's now become my favourite polish in my collection and at such a bargain price the only thing I need to decide now is which shade to try next.

I gave this brand a try as they as cruelty free and its made in the UK, and I love it! The colour is gorgeous, it goes on really well and stays on! It does take a while to dry but its a small price to pay for a fabulous finish. Im very pleased and will be ordering some other colours.

‘Peony’ is a light pink creme from Barry Ms Gelly High Shine Collection.This pretty pink gave surprisingly good coverage on the first coat, with just the odd streak here and there. A 2nd coat evened everything out giving a streak free, fully opaque finish and glossy high shine. My nails are very ridged and these were still a little visible after the 2nd coat had dried so for this reason only I applied a 3rd coat, while this did completely smooth out my uneven nails, it did take a lot longer to completely dry. Instead, I found, that if I applied a coat of  ‘Wet Set Quick Dry Topcoat’  this not only smoothed out the remaining unevenness, but also sealed in the colour giving added protection and it had the added bonus of drying incredibly fast too (much quicker than 3 coats of colour :) With the addition of this topcoat I can usually have 5-6 chip-free wear days - without TC it’s usually 2-3 days.Application was a dream thanks to the fabulous wide flat brush which is the perfect width and shape and follows the curve of the nail precisely giving a smooth, mess free application every single time - even with unsteady hands I’m able to achieve a neat result.Overall I think this is a beautiful nail paint and I’m happy to recommend it. The formula is superb and it gives glossy, super shiny results and all for an astonishingly budget friendly price of £3.99 and best of all, it’s completely cruelty free👌🐇💘.Sadly though, this pretty pink didn’t suit me. I always leave a little gap between the paint and my cuticle and for some unknown reason this gap ended up looking very dark - almost dirty looking!🫣 .. I’m hoping it will look better in the summer when I’ve got a bit of colour on my hands :)
