The 27” Nitro VG270bmiix monitor from Acer is designed for gaming, with a fast refresh rate and other premium features. The Full HD resolution ensures that all your games will look crisp and sharp, with plenty of detail. Plus the IPS panel provides much more vivid colours as well as supporting wider viewing angles, giving your games added depth. The VG270bmiix also features Acer’s VisionCare suite of technologies, including BlueLightShield and Flickerless, which help to reduce eye strain and make your viewing experience more comfortable. With the VG270bmiix you get a 75Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, which work together so that even fast-moving action will look smooth and sharp, with juddering and blurring kept to a minimum. There’s also integrated AMD FreeSync, which means that the monitor’s refresh rate is automatically adjusted to match the output from a compatible graphics card, for the smoothest experience possible. It also features Acer’s ZeroFrame design, which slims down the bezels, helping the VG270bmiix look more stylish as well as making it an ideal choice for a multi-monitor system. There’s also a stylish 3-point stand with red accents that allows you 25° of tilt adjustment so you can find the most comfortable viewing angle. With both VGA and HDMI connections, you can easily connect your VG270bmiix to a wide range of devices for added convenience.

4K monitor at the cheap
*Update: The monitor continues to serve me well one year later. My PS5 recognises the monitor as a valid 4K HDR output- success! (Yes I admit, without the monitor's HDR setting turned on the colours do wash out and require calibration).I scoured the internet for a monitor that would meet my particular needs for both gaming and content enjoyment, all without being a mammoth TV. Few 4K 120fps monitors exist in the market, most are QHD with high refresh rates. For a PC gamer, the choice is simple. Pushing 4K gaming is rare so higher refresh rates tend to be a natural choice. However, as a console, not a PC gamer, I wanted a display to show as many frames as possible at 4K resolution while still being 27inch to use with my laptop. I settled for this monitor from Acer and after much worry, find relief in giving this a full thumbs up. Few monitors match this value; IPS display, 4K resolution, slim bezels, entry-level HDR, HDMI 2.0, AMD free sync, VESA mount and menu features. All is not perfect but for the price paid, I happily accept the fine sacrifices. The monitor features a strong gaming design. The box arrives with a power cord, monitor and stand legs. I appreciate the sharp gaming look to the stand but immediately you will notice the stand is flimsy and featureless, unable to tilt in any direction. Fortunately, the monitor is saved by the VESA mount compatibility, four holes are provided to the back middle for easy mounting. The monitor maintains good looks through its bezel-less design, at least when it is turned off, for a wide cinematic experience.Beyond the looks, the monitor from a technical standpoint offers essential features for display minus the luxuries of a full package. Straightaway many would point out the many deficiencies like having no USB-C ports or USB ports for that matter, only one DisplayPort and two HDMI ports. Yet, when avoiding stretching into TV territory, this monitor delivers the core necessities. This monitor comes with two speakers, not great quality but still provided and enough for ordinary use. The DisplayPort is also 1.4 and both HDMI ports are 2.0, meaning you can push 4K 60fps comfortably through each port. Moreover, the HDMI port seems HDCP 2.2. compliant. My Amazon 4K Fire Stick, to great relief, successfully streams 4K HDR content to this display. At this price, I feel little regret missing out on HDMI 2.1. The integration still lags and is far too expensive in high-ended monitors. When most content reaches a maximum of 4K60, the price difference for more holds minimal value. I also easily overcame the limited HDMI ports given by using a display switch.4K resolution being the central feature of this monitor for this price, and an average consumer fulfils expectations without pulling off anything fancy. The IPS screen is matt, providing a glare-free viewing angle during the day. The value of the display has surprised me. Content looks sharp, possessing good detail and vibrancy. I am astounded by the colour pop, I can notice rich colours and granular detail, all the whilst picture staying smooth. My expectations for this 4K quality were low and this monitor exceeds them. There are 8 preset display settings to use from, such as gaming selections, standard, eco, graphics and HDR. Of course, they are all alterable and resettable. I noticed little difference between the modes, the most noticeable difference being the brightness changes and blue light option. However, to much surprise, the HDR setting has brought a difference to the display. The HDR may not be TV quality or meet professional standards but for me, the colours look bolder, blacks look deeper and the overall screen appearing significantly brighter. Strangely, when viewing content through Amazon 4K stick on this monitor, the standard-setting offers a cold picture where blacks are washed out and colours faded. The HDR setting thus becomes the means to sometimes 'correct' the picture with greater colour and brightness. It is crucial to emphasise, I have not faced this issue with other connected devices on this monitor such as my laptop or PS4. I cannot professionally measure response times with this monitor, all I say for now is that I not noticed any input/frame delays or screen tearing. My input does not feel any slower, from playing explosive action games to fast-paced sports and shooters. The minor drawback, as loudly stated by others, is perhaps the bezels. When switched off, the screen promises a bezel-less experience but once turned on, a black border appears. Personally, the border does not defeat the value of this monitor, during use I frequently forget this exists and continue enjoying the large, wide viewing experience. In all, this monitor from Acer, priced at £300 holds exceptional value for those looking for a core means to enjoy 4K content and regular computing. The monitor sports a cool gaming aesthetic and pack essential features like HDMI 2.0, speakers and VESA mounting for a completed package. After the 4K feature, the screen is matt, wide and limited bezels. The final picture hangs on, offering detail, colour and smoothness for appreciating the resolution.

Amazing gaming monitor for pc but doesnt do 120hz on ps5
amazing monitor does 144hz 1440p on pc but for some reason the ps5 or acer does not make it compatible for ps5 120hz.I bough this thinking any 120+ hz monitor would work on ps5 but it doesn't so if you are reading this comment and is planning to buy a monitor for 120hz gaming on ps5 make sure to do some research first.I ended up returning this monitor as it was only running at 60hz on any resolution on the ps5.Hopefully one day acer or the ps5 does an update so that they would be compatible.

Colours More Richer After Downloading Drivers
Not been into gaming monitors as one who likes photography using just a 60hz full HD to play games, too, but this is great. Refresh rate of 144hz, flicker free, is refreshing to my eyes and the brightness is a dazzeling. Not calibrated the monitor, yet, but will do at some point. It's a virtual world of difference to see crisp details and a bigger screen playing War Thunder and Train Simulator. The QWHD/2k brings games to life with beautiful colours and more realisting details. The 27 inches of screen real estate is the right size for epic battles and great defeats.. I mean.. victories... *cough*.Having a play with the settings and found 'normal' in the white balance is good for me. Of course I will get a second pro monitor for editing photos, but I have this one for games and second monitor for email checking, another source window in video editing or widening the desktop if I need to.As for the thin bezzle, well, errm, even though it's true.. it's not exactly on screen. The screen has a border at each side and at the top. So, no difference at the moment for me there *scratching head in wonder*.I wish the stand would be telescopic and height could be adjusted. Still, there's always back copies of Yellow Pages or old house bricks to lift the monitor up a bit - nah, but I do use plastic boxes from a pound shop.Sharper than full HD and cheaper than 4K, this is an excellent comprimise inbetween that doesn't dissapoint.

Very good monitor, don't buy for 1ms
This monitor is very good especially for the price your paying(when I got his monitor it was £91.66), The size I got was 21.5 inch and was 1080p. The monitor is 75 hertz which adds a bit more smoothness while using the monitor. The monitor I got did have VRB which makes your monitor run at 1ms but it doesn't look good because it makes your screen darker and it flashes weirdly which is annoying so don't buy this monitor for the 1ms response time.Apart from that the monitor I got is in perfect condition and has no dead pixels or any damage to it. The slim borders makes the monitor look good and a lot more modern. The monitor I had before I bought this was older and had bad colours, bad viewing angles, bad brightness and thicker bezels. Using this monitor side by side with my old monitor makes the huge step up in quality very obvious.I'm very happy with this monitor and I would recommend this monitor to anybody looking for a good budget monitor.

Very Good Monitor
This monitor is very good for it's price offering 4k@60hz and 1440p at 144hz for only 300 PoundOne thing i would like to say is that it does not support 4k@60hz with a Display Port to what i've tested with this may just be me but it seems while using a Display port it doesn't offer 4k and i don't think this is mentioned on the items description.Other than that the colors are vibrant & offer a great cheap solution for upgrading from you're 60hz TV or whatever you are currently using the HDR is amazing on this and you can really feel a difference and the build & quality of this product is very good and well made i would recommend this monitor for anyone who is currently looking into getting a new monitor to replace there TV or even older monitor.Very Easy to SetupGreat QualityGreat PriceNo Issues apart from Display port not supporting 4k@60hz which isn't mentioned.
