Accurate!
This thermometer is excellent! Great for price; reliable temperature and hangs in my oven permanently!

Does not discolour under very high heat.
This must be an improvement over the previous same model because its dial did not discolour at 500 degrees F.I couldn't determine its accuracy.

Works and is accurate
I got this oven thermometer to test the temperature of a Brev**** toaster oven that was running hot, it was. To test there thermometer, I put it in my LG oven and it was spot on. I took it to a friends house who as a Kitchen Aide oven and it was spot on.
