Somewhat helpful
I really liked the places they recommend; I like their esthetic. It was easy to carry around Mexico City and I always had it on me. This guide will work for you if you look up the places they recommend BEFOREHAND, or you could run into some difficulty finding some of them. We walked and used registered taxis a lot; in our experience, when giving a driver the address, you need to tell them what part of town it's in (ie; Condesa, Zona Rosa etc). Many of the entries in this book don't bother to list that info. They do give you a phone number, which I imagine is helpful if you are conversational in the language and have a great phone plan. So if you are out & about and your plans suddenly change, you really can't rely on this book to guide you somewhere else (as other guide books do).Since they recommend just a few choice places, they could easily mark them in the fold out map in the back of the book. That would have been a Godsend on our last day, when the museum that was supposed to be open was closed due to construction (no mention of it on their website, trust me). Anyway, we checked the guide, and I swear everything we wanted to do only had a phone number listed. So not a good spontaneous guide, but more of a nice guideline of what to look for online. I do trust their taste and plan to buy the Wallpaper guides for any cities I plan to visit. After all, there are several blank pages in the back to write detailed info as needed!

This is now my 2nd Wallpaper guide purchased
Wallpaper guides are definitely an acquired taste. They tend to be concentrated guides containing trendier / younger hotspots and attractions. It's about a half and half mix of upscale suggestions to slightly more middle tier ones. I'll be in Mexico City sometime in March / April so I'll be able to give a better review of how helpful this little guide is "on the streets".

Nice Picture Book- that's all.
If you like to look at pretty pictures, this is the book for you. Places listed looked nice, but no map or directions on how to find them.

Not a guide for "ordinary traveler"
Nice and compact city guide, with a focus-eyes on design and modern art. Here you can find suggestions about not ordinary places to see, like modern art musem and expositions, design shops, fancy restaurants, hotels, bars and clubs. For each place is provided with a picture, description, adress, and internet links (for discover further informations like opening hours and prices). A small map (2 pages) of city center is also present.Usefull if you want to lear more about what you can find in DF, but you still need a"classic" guide to visit the city!

Bien mais pas pour quelques jours
Il faut avoir au moins dix jours (et un peu de fonds) pour pouvoir faire tout ce qu'il y a dans le guide. Je n'avais que quatre jours...
