I put the Barley on a cord and let it sit in the water until it was half in the water then turned it around for the other half to stay in the water. Took about 2/3 weeks then removed it and put another one in. Barley kept the algae away, cleared the water beautifully and could see everything clear down to the bottom of the pond. A simple, natural product that does the job.

Use year round to control algae in tank. By all appearances it works.

I have been using these in my pond for years and they are great. Don't expect quick results these take a few weeks to start working. Also read the directions on temperature range they are effective in.

This is the only product that has been effective at helping manage the algae. I will buy it every time because it has helped to cut the number of cleanings from 3 to 1. The other chemical products killed at my fish.
