Q: Will it fit a 90cm wide bunk bed?

It will fit on a twin bed or a full size bed. Definitely not a toddler, or a crib size mattress either

Q: Conflicting answer. I want to put standard size twin mattress inside to secure it to bed. Can this be done or will mattress be too big?.

Our son's twin works just fine.

I wish I could I returned it because I didn't have any poles.

Q: Could an average size adult sit up in this comfortably?

No. At least not with the mattress inside the tent, which is how it is stabilized. I’m shorter than most and I don’t think I could sit in it even without the mattress.
