Imperiled (Shenandoah Shadows Book 5)

Always a good book by this author. I have several of her books. This has romance mystery and suspense. Enjoy

Suspenseful!

I love Melissa Miller’s characters. Strong women, just enough “heat” to make it interesting, and exciting story lines are her forte. At my age I think I will enjoy this series even more when I can sit down and start at the beginning and go right to the end without months in between “installments”. By the time I get myself up to speed again the current story is over and I’m left wanting more!!!! I do that with other series which are full length books. Start at the beginning and go to the end no matter how many books in the series there might be. I LOVE to see how characters develop and how everything is linked. Yes, many are stand alone books, but it’s still fun to see how things tie in. These novellas are a perfect length for a plane trip, an afternoon by the fireplace or pool depending on your weather. Whether you like to read things in “bite size” snacks or string them together for a gourmet meal, don’t miss Melissa Miller’s series ——all of them!

Soon, Jake and the others realized the same thing and they set out to track her down and bring her back, no matter what...A fast-paced thriller with light touches of romance, this was a great read by Melissa F. Miller from beginning to end. This series has been a good one. I love all of her books and it constantly amazes me that she is such a prolific author. She produces so many great stories. Either way, I am a faithful fan and look forward to anything she writes!AfterThought: I am sooo looking forward to Entwined...

That poor guy Vance made a lot of really bad choices, didn't he? I could *almost* feel sorry for him, but he was not only a stupid criminal, but a cowardly bully.Jake and Chelsea are an odd couple. Both bitter and heartbroken and basically not taking responsibility for the end of their relationship.Communication is key, people!

Imperiled is a short novella in the Shenandoah Shadows series. It's sort of romance and sort of action/intrigue. Writer, Melissa F. Miller, advances the ongoing story arc just a bit by taking the reader through the next action-packed day in the lives of the characters already introduced. It's not Miller's strongest work. Too much of the story feels convoluted and unbelievable. A few eye rolls and shoulder shrugs later, the book is over, and we're ready to move onto the next. Miller is an accomplished writer, and one of my favorite authors. I have no doubt that the books will get into a better groove. I'll be continuing on with the series. I recommend the whole series for fun "comfort reading".

Book 5 was so good. Chelsea had such a terrible time. Enjoyed meeting up again with Jake. Helping in a search. Book 6 doesn't come out until February 22. I can hardly wait.
