Worked well to keep my grandchildren from bursting into my room when I was visiting. I do like a small amount of privacy at times. I tested the alarm. It's very loud. I didn't use it because I didn't buy the door stop for that purpose, but it certainly works.

If you are looking for loudness in an alarm, you found it. I don't know how well it will stop an intruder from pushing the door in, but the loudness is excellent.

Wasn't quite sure how this would work, but I'm pleasantly surprised, I would recommend to anyone
