Shell RotellaT4 Triple Protection 15W-40 Diesel Engine Oil, 1 Gallon

I have been using Rotella 15-40 in my diesel engines for decades now. The tested result is less oil consumption and better lubricity life as per lab tests I have performed at oil changes. The price on Amazon is at least 25% better than I can find anywhere online.....especially Napa. Hey, it's a good product so go out and 'wind it up'.

Great oil at super price

Few years ago a tornado came through our area and damaged a lot of power lines and a power station that fed all of the lines to my parents house. They were without power for weeks. My dad was very sick and few months from passing and my mom didn't really know much about small power equipment. So I would set the portable predator generator up, fuel it up, my mom would just fill the generator back up and immediatly start it again. Every few days I would stop by, bring more fuel, and change the oil with this oil. When I would check the oil collection pan I never saw any flakes or anything, which is rare for a splash style engine with no filter. You will usually see a little metal flake. Nothing. For two weeks the generator was only shutdown to refuel or change oil. The spark arrestor was nearly stopped up, but I cleaned that out, put a new plug in, changed the oil, and put it back in storage. During that time period it never was low on oil, and doesn't burn a drop to this day. I attribute that to a good heavy duty oil. I keep about 6 jugs on the shelf at all times just in case I got to do this again, thats how much I trust it.

Fantastic oil for our motorcycles that use older designed engines. My Kawasaki KLR and Yamaha XT250 run great on this heavy duty oil and the additives greatly prolong wet clutch life. Winner!

this oil is the best oil for your money, it has all the vitamins and minerals your old school engine needs, and when the price occasionally drops own to 15.95 a gallon, you cannot beat that price anywhere for a oil of this quality,unfortunately for me, it seems that the containers it is in are now thinner than before, maybe because there trying to save on plastic waste, but two of my three gallons I purchase had very small leaks on the bottom of them, and it was my mistake to just put them in my house on the freezer , but they leaked all over it and down the front onto an oriental rug, I do not believe anyone is to blame, not amazon, nor the manufacturer, and amazon was very easy to work with and refunded part of my purchase right away, I did have to re order new oil and it set me back a week when I needed to change the oil in this vehicle, I actually chose to purchase a different oil, a brand that I know still has the thicker containers, once I have inspected the new (different brand oil) I will update this, and leave a review on the new purchase as well,as much as the leak has caused me problems and damage to my things, I still believe this oil to be far batter than others options, and also the price is un matched by other oils, of the equivalent quality. you can research yourself that almost all oils have removed the phosphorus and the zinc due to federal mandates, and any engine with flat tappet lifters, either solid lifters or hydraulic lifters, these engines will self destruct without those two additives , , do your research and purchase oil according to the additive package in the oil, and ignore any marketing Hype such as " super slippery liquid ball bearings" , I think you all know what I mean
