Engrossing!
Jacqueline Sinclair is a United States Army CID Special Agent on a trail of a lunatic who wants to destroy world peace. This book by Alvarez is an engrossing reading rendering the reader aghast by the twists and turns in the book. Unlike other books on World War 3, this book sews together personal vengeance with world misery. Matthew Banks, a renegade CIA double agent, has stolen seven Russian nuclear suitcase bombs to settle scores with both Russia and the United States. As a result of Alvarez's beautifully developed characters, his page-turning tale is made much more compelling. While tracing Belle's character development, he expertly balances his characters' interpersonal dynamics. The tough narrative is improved by sharp language and confident writing. When it comes to generating suspenseful moments, Alvarez excels at it and keeps readers on the edge of their seats with his well-weaved micro subplots. Belle's next adventure is eagerly anticipated by me.

Riveting
The author knows how to spin a good yarn and I have become invested in the Jacqueline Sinclair series. I found myself riveted from the first page. The characters are wonderfully well rounded, and I could envision them as real people. The best part about the author’s writing is that you can never guess what is going to happen next.If you are a fan of thrillers definitely pick up this book and this series!

Outstanding International Thriller
This has so much more than a simple good guy had guy plot.It has plot & counter plot. Action all the way. Special Forces Elite Police units, Military police. Dead & casualties litter the story. VERY highly recommend.

Still more to come I hope
This was a very good book, plenty of action and suspense. Great story with another story to come and carry on where this one ends.Does the bad guy get killed or will Sinclair get killed instead.

Good read this
Loved the story from start to finish. Being based in Germany was a welcome change for this type of yarn. Good characters and lots of nerdy weaponry. Love a US v Russia tale.

Pros and Cons
According to his bio, the author is a highly decorated, retired military man. I thank him for his service and applaud his desire to write, but he needs to refine his craft. As the book started, it seemed the author was determined to write a novel but didn't have a plot direction. We met many characters with intricate physical descriptions, histories, backgrounds, and experiences. We tried to remember all that, thinking it was significant - only to have the characters killed off a few pages later. As the book progressed, the plot seemed overly convoluted, implausible, and a veritable mish-mash of every spy thriller ever written. It wasn't until the 8th chapter that we actually met the title character. I felt she was one-dimensional, determined but not particularly smart, and relatively unappealing. The book desperately needs a good copy editor. After more than 50 errors - grammatical mistakes, misused words, mangled sentence structures, verb tense changes, poor research (there are no coyotes in Germany), and so on - I stopped counting.
