Not what I was looking for, but a very informative book on the history of falconry from an american point of view.

Bought as a gift for friend -- he loved it

I've enjoyed everything i've read by him , excellent.His blog Querencia is addictive as well.

I am enjoying this book. The author is well informed, has and trains birds. Did not realize there are quite a few different kinds of birds used with different personalities and hunting styles. You do not get into this sport without dedication. Even harder than training a good hunting dog and at some point the bird may decide to just go wild again.
