Langham's interiors: updated classics both elegant and welcoming
Richard Keith Langham may be a son of the South, but his design portfolio includes commissions widely dispersed in the United States and his finished rooms are of an elegance worthy of kings and queens. "About Decorating" demonstrates his flexibility in moving from city environments to beachside and country locations, but throughout there are characteristic features. Chief among these are a classicism twinned with physical comfort, animal-related themes, fascinating patterned upholstery fabrics, Chinese blue-and-white porcelains, lavish window treatments, and an abiding preference for two colors in particular, namely coral and teal. The fact that many of Langham's clients are blessed to own extensive collections of books and fine art adds significantly to the beauty of his interiors and testifies to their passionate interests. Rizzoli's monograph on Langham is perfectly conceived and executed, offering a welcome balance of text and first-rate photography.

A MUST HAVE!
Every page you turn to in this beautiful book has a treasure and a surprise for the reader. There is no one more talented or a better storyteller than Keith Langham. And his rooms all tell stories with great talent. If you live in the South, North, East or West, this is a must have for the modest to fanciest of home decor. THIS IS THE PERFECT GIFT FOR CHRISTMAS, AND/OR FOR THOSE WHO ARE DECORATING (OR REDECORATING) THEIR HOMES. Plus it looks pretty in your library or living room!
