OEM Double Platinum Spark Plugs (03 Sentra)
The NGK 6240 or PLFR5A-11 are the OEM plugs for my 03 Nissan Sentra. I ordered 4 of them to replace all my spark plugs and they all arrived in good condition. Each of the plugs had the protective cylindrical cardboard and came in decent packaging. I checked each of the gaps for the plugs they were only slightly off from the OE .044(IN) which I adjusted. If you’re going to do this you want to be extra careful as the platinum can be damaged. I think the best way to check the gap is using a wire gap tool and adjust the gap very carefully. There’s no need to apply anti seize as the threads already have a coating on them and is even stated by NGK not to use anti seize. If you really want to apply anti seize you should reduce the torque you apply by about %20 the manufacturer spec(still don’t recommend it). I also added dielectric grease/silicone paste to the ceramic portion of the plug(bottom white part) to prevent moisture from getting into the coil and to make future removal easier. If you’re going to use dielectric grease/silicone paste you only need a thin layer and avoid getting it on the end of the spark plug(only apply to the ceramic portion). As pictured the OE plugs were a perfect fit to the old plugs but the previous owner cheaped out and used copper spark plugs that fit my car but they shouldn’t have been used for it. Installation was great and the car started up much quicker. Along with that the engine felt much “smoother” especially at high revs compared with the old plugs. This is definitely one of best easy tune ups you can do to a car and get a-lot out of it.TLDR: OEM plugs, great install, smoother engine, and worth every penny.

350Z OEM
Car was misfiring so I decided it was time for a mid level maintenance anyways. The codes I originally got was P0306 which meant misfire in cylinder 6. Later on the misfiring became more common and I got a different code P0300 which is random misfire. So since getting to the ignition coil was going to be a pain in the ass, why not do them all for consistent fire and a smoother ride again. The OEM plugs that came out were the same as these so they should perform back to day 1 spec. After the coils and plugs, (cleaned out the throttle body while I was in there) the misfire is gone. The idle is slightly rough but the weather here has been wacky so it is adjusting. I will let you know if that didn't correct the issue but I am happy with these plugs since they are OEM according to what the book and what I pulled out says. The Beck Arnley coils are working so far so even though there are mixed reviews of the BA coils, Bosch also had mixed reviews too. It was worth a shot since nissan charged 3 times more.TIP: if you don't want to remove the plenum, get ready for some engine bay twister. Have swivel adapters, a 4 or 6 in extension, a good work light, socket set, pliers, and a magnet/claw retriever in case.UPDATE: 10/28/2013 been using the Z like crazy and this did the trick for my misfiring issue. I'm thrilled I did not let myself get ripped off by the dealership! I'm also sure all the nuts and bolt are there, torqued to proper spec and the spacer bolts were re-loctited as they should have been. The idle has adjusted and is better but still not perfect. I hope I wasn't too rough on the throttle body while I cleaned it even though I was careful so I will be going thru the pedal dance (throttle relearn/reset) to be sure. Otherwise, I have not stalled or shut down on the highway since!update: 7/30/15 still purring!! The Z is still running nicely and any adjustments made the ECU has settled long ago. The car does not misfire anymore and runs smooth and strong. It was a good combo between these NGK and the Beck Arnley coils.

Great Price, Great Spark Plugs and Original Replacement for Nissan
NGK brand is the Original Replacement of Nissan brand automobile Spark Plugs. I just replaced spark plugs of my 2003 Nissan Maxima SE V6 which has 147.000+ miles on it. Every 75k changing spark plugs are the best time frame. Old ones I pulled out with corrosion on the tips.I have noticed right after changing the spark plugs that;Starts Faster and SmootherEngine Warms Up QuickerLess NoisyNo More burned oil smell when I push the gas pedal all the way down on 1st gearAcceleration got back in original timingand Mileage per gallon will be better as well.NOTE: Do not forget to buy Silver Anti Seize for applying on the thread of the new spark plugs and Do not forget to buy transparent Boot Grease which you have to apply on the ceramic portion of the Spark plugs. That way it make it easy to place them on, keeping the coil boots and threads in a good shape, and makes it easy to pull them out when you need to replace them again.Great Spark Plugs, I recommend to use NGK which originally made in Japan. They do provide best out of the box on Nissan.
