Fibble: The Fourth Circle of Heck: 4

No Lie, It's Good!
Fibble is where the lying kids go. Milton Fauster never lies, or almost never, and his sister Marlo is so reformed that she really doesn't do it any more either. But, thanks to Bea (Elsa) Bubb, the Principal of Heck, they are sent to the fourth circle as punishment for messing with Principal Bubb back in Blimpo (where the fat kids go.) Fibble involves lots of advertising and promotion, which is what author Dale E. Basye did before he got into Heck instead. So it's pretty detailed, and there's good information for kids here. The thing is, they really, really mess with Principal Bubb in Fibble. So much so that at the end, Fibble is, oh Heck, I really don't want to give that away! But it's funny, oh yes, quite funny! Buy it, read it, love it! Fibble: The Fourth Circle of HeckFibble: The Fourth Circle of Heck

Of mixed mind
This story is in series and it is about kids who have adventures in hell. My kid thought it interesting enough to read it to fourth.I read #1 and 2. The author has powerful imagination and endless ability to see pun. The puns actually started to make my teeth ache, too much is too much. The characters that run hell truly seem qualified - dark and cynical minds that have no problem with punishments and back stabbing. There are plenty of details in the story, but the flow eventually seems to become down the one, narrow path and hellish characters made me lose hope. My kid also became bored with the story and will not be continuing with the series. This is good story and recommended if you want to learn what pun is, but it is not fun.

Fibble is Fantastic
I bought the first book, Heck, Where the Bad Kids Go to review it for my grandson. Well, now that I'm hooked I just kept getting the series. Fibble was a great read continuing where Milton and Marlo left off in Blimpo it just keeps getting better, I am on pins and needles waiting for the next installment of the Heck series because I love reading who Milton and Marlo will meet next. The famous and not so famous people that they meet are the greatest parts of the series because these famous people actually teach something to the reader as well as Milton and Marlo. My grandson is getting a Kindle for christmas and I can't wait to buy him the series. I know he will enjoy the series.

Didn't live up to the others in the series, but still good.
This is one of those times when half stars would be nice. It's better than three stars but nowhere near four star quality. So I had to debate with myself - what to give this book -- what reasons do I have to push it to four? All I came up with really was that I love this series in general and yeah, sorry that wasn't enough so I had to go with three. The problem with this book is that it just felt as though something was missing. I didn't devour this book as I did the others (buying in early July and only finishing it now in late August - I stopped to read numerous other books, something I wouldn't have dare done with the other books in the series). The historical figures were not used as well as they have been in prior books. The author writing himself into the story went nowhere (not that it can't be used in later books, but in this one it was just not interesting). The battles that the Fausters faced was boring compared to previous adventures. The soul swapping wasn't interesting.Still, that's not to say that the book didn't have its good points, it had plenty - I did say I had to debate between 3 and 4 stars. The handling of the reality shows was brilliant. The interactions between Marlo and Milton, also genius. Bea "Elsa" Bubb was not overused, but did get worked into this story in a perfect way.I'm sure that I will continue on with the series, but my expectations for it have dropped quite a bit after this book.

Great Series.
This is a great series. I first read it as an adult, and I enjoyed the dark humor, and the complex plotting. I'd get it for a kid aged 10 or 12 as well, if their reading skills were stronger than average, or for a teenager, one who's past the age to worry about looking "childish" if they read a kids' book.
