Wanted a copper colored firewood bin, but have you priced those? Real copper is not affordable, and even the big name, high-end vendors offer a simple copper finish. Painting galvanized is tricky, but not impossible. First, scrub thoroughly with white vinegar. Then spray with latex or shellac primer. NO ALKYDS! It will peel right off. After the primer is dry (I used shellac), spray with Hammered Copper spray paint. Looks great, just what we wanted, at a third of the price of the decorator catalogs. And bigger. It's held up well, better than I expected. Could touch up scratches in the off season, but so far doesn't look like I'll need to.

I purchased this through Esbenshades Garden Center and it arrived in excellent condition! This bushel barrel is the perfect size to hold firewood which is what we are going to be using it for. It’s very well built and sturdy so we can easily take this outside to restock our firewood when we need to. We no longer have to use a canvas bag that needs to be replaced every couple of years it seems. I would highly recommend this to others!

I use this around the homestead for TWO Purposes so far. 1. I combine it with the Achla Designs Compost Sifter Screen with Handles to sift dirt from yard scaping projects. The combo is awesome as I sift on site dirt with compost to make super dirt for planting. 2. I've used this bucket as a base for the VVIVOHOME Polyresin Antique Outdoor [Golden] Garden Bird Bath and Solar Powered Round Pond Fountain Combo Set -- assemble the bird bath insert it into the bucket then large river rock to weight the bucket -- I put the bucket on a 16x16 inch cement step stone that has been leveled - then add the solar floating fountain pump & water to create the perfect bird bath stable in the wind. If water enters the bucket when filling the pond, let it! It will evaporate and the bucket can withstand the water. At the end of the season empty and put away the feature for the next year.

Decent quality for my intended use as a planter. If for any other purpose, I would have returned the dinged version received. Bottom had 3 significant dents from 1-2" in size. Not damaged in shipping since box in great shape. Either from provider or manufacturer this way.

It holds a bushel of whatever you need it to hold.

I bought these to use as flower pots. They seem to be well made, not flimsy at all, and will hold up well to the elements. I easily drilled some holes in the bottom for drainage. They are easy enough to move around, even when full of dirt. I like that the bigger size seems to keep the soil from drying out as fast as it would in smaller pots.

This is going to be a lily bed in my sister's yard. It's distinctive enough that you stop and look at it, even without the flowers blooming yet. It is exactly what we needed to add a little POP to her yard.
