I always like to read reviews good and bad before making a purchase and the ones that say the quality control isn't good are correct, the pic attached shows the condition of the unit straight out of the box. If my set up was spotless this would definately be an issue but in my circumstance it isn't and as long as the self worked as advertised that's all I wanted and it did. So for me not an issue but please bear in mind if that isn't the case for you.

I have been constructing a custom desk, so I purchased the desk extender because it was the only one I could find that was actually long enough for my keyboard setup. I purchased the longest extender they had. I extended my desk with this clamp on tray, so I wouldnt be too close to the screen.In the box was a small instruction sheet, (when I say small it is small and the text tiny). but it was pretty self explanatory installation. Four self tap screws to assemble the shelf. It requires a long and decent screwdriver to really drive home those screws. The desk attachment (check your clearance), is kept in place by large rubber blocks under the desk mounts (screw up type). Attached very firmly.This particular extender can be lowered or raised by two catches underneath. Once mounted it seems very sturdy. I had room for my keyboard, mouse and pad and my gaming pad on the right. It feels very sturdy when typing and firm. *I wouldnt recommend leaning or storing anything heavy on this item however.I couldnt fault the design, the hinge attachment when assembling felt slightly loose, but when raised its rock solid. When connected to the desk there is little to no movement so no vibration when typing or using the mouse. With a carbon black style finish, I would highly recommend it.Only things I could note down to be aware of:Make sure you lower the extender as i ran into it once or twice raised, secondly its clamped to your desk, so take care if you need to remove it to avoid damage. There were an extra set of screws included in the box as well, I dont know why, could not find any use for them, I guess spares?If like you me you have a post in the middle of your desk and cannot mount a slide in extender shelf, this item fits perfectly. I was very happy with the item.

Have bought this for myself about 2 months ago and bought again for my wife’s desk now with both the black carbon design. I noticed that mine had a few small scratches but I didn’t mind too much and just thought it was a bad one but now I the second one is also scratched and you can see along the edges its not applied properly. It makes it all look real cheap. I could probably replace the plank of wood and reuse the clamps but its just disappointing when its meant to be new.

I really like the product. It does what it sets out to do. There’s a little bit of assembly required; some small screws to attach the brackets to the surface. This can be fiddly due to where the holes are located and how the bracket is constructed but once assembled it’s strong and works well!

I needed some sort of a desk extension since I have been working from home. I saw this product, and whilst it was more expensive that I had hoped the solution may cost, I kept returning to this one.It’s completely fantastic…! It is sturdy and very well made, no jagged edges, and packed to ensure no damage arose in shipping. It was quick and easy to assemble… basically, you will see four ‘guide holes’ for the clamps to affix to the board…. Just ignore them… within reason, you can place the clamps where best suit you along the single side.I’ve already used the new space a number of times, it’s as solid as the rest of the desk.I’m on a roll, as I’m going to get a second one fairly soon, to go on the front edge of my desk.If you hate wasting money, and want a product that lives up to the marketing… this is it. Total Success…!

Very sturdy with good table locks. The clamping arrangement could be better. It relies on the underside of a table being flat. It isn't for me and had to tighten the clamp very very tightly to avoid it slipping off. That said, it is in daily use and I check its still solid, periodically. The rubber clamp grip falls off easily and is no better than a wooden block. The clamp handle is not great, and I might replace with a proper hex head bolt. I may not sound it from above but it is a good table.

My arm can rest now, well done.
