🌟 Gorgeous Color and Salon-Like Experience Right at Home! 🌟
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Salon-quality results at home! My favorite shade – 10NGV Amalfi BlondeI’ve been using the Madison Reed Radiant Hair Color Kit in Light Golden Blonde (10NGV Amalfi Blonde) for almost a year now — and I can honestly say it’s the best at-home hair color I’ve ever tried!💛 The color turns out warm, bright, and beautifully golden, exactly what I was looking for. It looks natural, brightens up my face, and has no unwanted yellow tones.💇♀️ After coloring, my hair feels soft, silky, and shiny. There’s no dryness, breakage, or irritation to my scalp — just healthy, beautiful hair.✨ The kit includes everything you need: color cream, activator, two pairs of gloves, a cap, shampoo, and conditioner — all high quality. The color is easy to apply, doesn’t drip, and has a very mild scent. The color lasts well, and touching up the roots is easy with no harsh contrast. It gives me salon-like results right at home, and it saves so much time and money!🛒 I always buy it here on Amazon from the Madison Reed Store — fast delivery and always fresh product. I really appreciate the reliable service and quality!Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful blonde shade and hair care in one package. 💖

Easy to use, high quality
I use this kit to cover my grays, and it does a pretty good job. I was forced into coloring my own hair during the pandemic and have not looked back. It's easy to use and my hair still feels healthy. I did the color match on Madison Reed's website (which was awesome) and subscribed for a while, then I bought the kit from Target, and now I order from here on Amazon. I get compliments on the color from hair stylists who cut my hair.I also bought Madison Reed's mixing bowl and the application brush which helped, but you can get that elsewhere for cheaper.

Gentle
I liked that it was very gentle on my scalp compared to L'Oréal. I was disappointed that my results with the color was not as vibrant or multi-toned as advertised and as compared to the picture on the box.Update on March 20: Since I used this product for the first time last week, I have been using baby shampoo and conditioner. I am thrilled that my scalp no longer hurts from using L'Oréal, which I was happy using for many years. I became sensitive to it. Madison Reed healed it! Also, after a week, I must say that now I do see the soft highlights and multi-toned color better and now I am happy and will continue to purchase this nice product. Eventually, i think with repeated use. my hair may more closely resemble the perfect color on the box.

Might be great for short hair or hair not previously colored. For me? Awful.
I used Light Golden Red, &7NCG, Genova Red.On the package, the color looked like an exact match for my original hair color. (I have just enough grey, here & there throughout my hair, to want to cover it... for now, anyway. Vanity... right? lol )I fell in love with Madison Reed's packaging and the thoughtfulness shown in this very complete hair color kit. The messaging in it dazzled me, as well.Using the product, I didn't care for the smell of it, but it wasn't nearly as bad as some ammonia-based hair color products. So far, so good.In addition, I was impressed by how much hair color was included. Even with long, thick hair, I was able to cover everything from the roots to the very longest tips of my hair, and do so completely. The included shampoo and conditioner were both lavish and generous. Again, as someone with very thick hair, this was appreciated. But then, fresh from the shower, I looked in the mirror.Umm...It looked like the color coverage wasn't consistent. Not even close.Worse, when my hair was dry, the color at the top of my head was spectacular, but starting at about ear level, the color was much darker.Indoors, it looks almost black. On someone as fair-skinned as me, the effect was jarring. Suddenly, every freckle and laugh line seemed more obvious. This was NOT flattering.Oddly, the ends of my hair barely took any color at all. That was fine, because naturally colored hair is usually lighter (sun bleached) at the ends.In the accompanying photo, my head is tilted, so I'm looking up. You're seeing the top of my head as well as my back. Also, that picture was taken on a slightly overcast day, so the variations in color aren't due to extreme lighting. It looks far worse indoors, but I think the photo conveys the essense of the problem.Note: It's been a few years since I was a hair model, but I picked up a lot of hair coloring tips from the pros. So, I'm still mindful of the importance of coloring my hair thoroughly and consistently, and following package directions - to the letter - for the best results. In other words, it's not as if I smothered the top of my head with hair dye, and just loosely spread the rest of my hair with far lighter coverage.Likewise, I didn't douse the middle (now darkest) band of my hair with extra color, or omit coloring the ends, either. To me, it looks like this hair color should not be used on long, previously colored hair. I'd ask for a refund if I had anything to return to the seller, but - of course - I used the complete package. So, at best, that was a waste of $30.I'm going to wait a week so my hair has time to recover, and then I'll be using an "oops!" products to remove the Madison Reed hair color. Fingers crossed, it'll restore how my hair looked before using Madison Reed's hair color. (If that doesn't work, Plan B is to streak my hair with blonde. At worst, it'll look "artsy.")I'll agree that the Madison Reed hair color at the top of my head looks exactly as I'd hoped. It's very close to the color shown on the product's packaging. The probem is: The rest of my hair looks awful. If your hair is short - and, preferably, has never been colored before - you may love Madison Reed. For me, this was an extremely distressing experience.Fortunately, I work at home. This week, only my family will see my hair.If I go out, I'll wear a hat. Then, my hair will look oddly dark with almost blonde sun-bleaching at the ends. Short-term, I'm okay with that.I was tempted to give this product two stars because the packaging was a delight to read, and the included gloves, cap, shampoo, and conditioner were wonderful extras. However, I'm so disappointed by the product itself, I have to give this one star, and share my experience with others, so they don't make a similar mistake.

Salon Quality Results, but Ethanolamine Raises Concerns
Undeniably a high-quality product. Elegant packaging and thoughtful inclusions like gloves, a shampoo sample, a conditioning treatment, and a barrier cream, everything feels premium. The results are truly salon-like, rich color and shine. Given this level of quality and attention to detail, the higher price point seems fair. However, I couldn't find the full list of ingredients here and had to look elsewhere. I found out it contains ethanolamine in place of ammonia. While the brand markets the formula as “ammonia-free,” ethanolamine appears to have similar effects in terms of hair cuticle swelling and potential long-term damage. Some studies suggest that ethanolamine may even be more damaging than ammonia, as it lingers in the hair longer and can lead to protein loss over time. This makes the ingredient swap feel more like a marketing decision rather than a genuine improvement in hair health.Overall, the product performs exceptionally well, but I would hope for more transparency regarding the formula and its long-term impact.

Only dye that doesn't bother my scalp eczema
This is the only hair dye that doesn't bother the eczema on my scalp. It is the best! I will keep ordering and take to the salon when I go for my appointments. Give it a try!
