I created this Christian wall art first for myself, then decided to make them available in my shop. Each set is handmade and will vary somewhat, but will look very similar to these in the photo. This listing is for the two outside canvases, with the words It Is Well With My Soul on them, which measure 18x24 inches each. They go perfectly with the three stacked 10x20 canvases with the bird on a branch, which are listed in my shop separately. Painted with a cream colored base, there is charcoal brown and turquoise showing through the distressed areas, and mustard yellow type. The type I chose is bold, but shaky when you look closer. This is to reflect what I think the writer must've been feeling when he penned the words to the well-loved hymn in 1873. Horatio Spafford wrote the words when his ship passed the same location another ship had recently sunk, which claimed the lives of his four children. I made the tiered bird canvases to go with these because to me the bird represents being at peace amidst uncertainty and calamity. This Christian wall art is hand-painted to order.
