For anyone who might be confused about exactly what the term "pull-out candle" means: the glass jar is somewhat wider and taller than the standard seven-day candle. This allows you to insert any color candle you wish before burning. They're not saying that you will be able to burn the candle a little bit and then take it back out to burn another one. Wax melts. The point of a pull-out candle is that you don't waste the jar, creating more trash to be sent to the landfill or recycle. This was one of the big reasons I chose to go with this product. The glass jars are sturdy, and the inserts are unscented (which I'm very pleased about). I burn them for a few minutes to an hour every day, which makes them last even longer. The wicks are good quality, too, which was a huge relief. I've been purchasing these candles for over a year and haven't had trouble with the wicks yet! They're easy to light and remain lit until extinguished. When the insert burns out, just set the jar in a pot of warm water for a few minutes to soften the last of the wax at the bottom. Then use something long to carefully dig/pry it out. When finished, pop another insert in, and light.

Perfect fit in glass container and burns well.

I bought this candle to replace an old novena candle jar. It didn't fit. Isn't it supposed to be a refill? My novena candle holder was standard but it still didn't fit. I had to shave the candle down quite a bit to fit into the jar.

The candles are fine, but they are too big to refill noveñas or saint candles, like advertised. I’ll use them for something else.
