Bought this bagel slicer for use at a children's camp to avoid knife use. It has been working great and is easy clean up.

hard to pick up with one hand
At first, I'm like - really? a bagel slicer? Just use a breadknife.After using this one time, I get it. It's uniquely satisfying.One thing I found is that there's no way to lock the blade portion into the base. So picking it up and moving it requires you to use both hands or else the blade will just slide out.

Safest way to cut a bagel
I always struggled with a knife cutting a bagel. This cuts every time and with safety in mind.

Great bagel cutter!
Cutting bagels.Husband has only use of one hand, so I wish it had some sort of rubber on the bottom of it to keep it stable and not lift up after he cut it, as his other hand can’t hold it down.But he loves it.
