Stylish and no messy crumbs on the worktop
I've had this toaster for two days now and my initial impression is positive.Apart from being very stylish and different, the point that stands out for me is the lack of crumbs from underneath the toaster. The crumbs fall into the slide tray that holds the bread. When the holder is removed the crumbs stay in the three shallow troughs under the wire bread grip, and can just be tipped out and are easy to get rid of, so no mess unless your aim is inaccurate when tipping the crumbs into a bin.The casing does get warm, but not as hot as a conventional toaster, this is probably due to the larger gap between the elements and the outer housing. It should also be noted that an electrically grounded mesh is fixed between the elements and the bread , I assume for safety reasons. One thing to be aware of is that heat comes out of both ends of the toaster, nice micro heater for winter, but the cat needs to be careful where it puts its tail for warmth! So, if you like to have your toaster vertical to a wall, you may need to have this one horizontal and ensure that no meltable or burnable items are near the non sliding end of the toaster. When the toasting is finished a short bing sound is made, and I've found that the toast can be left in the toaster to cool down without too much further cooking occurring. The one thing that is slightly disconcerting is that when the slide tray is pushed back into the toaster, the ON light comes on to show that the safety prong on the tray has been fully inserted into the toasting chamber and the toaster is now operational. By design when the tray is fully removed the toaster will not operate. The instruction manual states that the toaster has an estimated life span of seven years, it comes with a three year warranty. My only concern is if needed, can replacement elements be obtained easily? So far I'm quite pleased with this toaster despite the 'boutique' price.

No more burnt fingers with this new design
It is true that bagels and croissants have to be cut in half in order to fit into the rather narrow tray but they toast very nicely in this attractive toaster, and neatly roll off the tray when you have carried it to the table. No more burnt fingers! The tray is easy to clean too. The defrost and warm up features work well, and automatically go on to toast correctly, so you only have to press the buttons once.I like this very much, and my grandsons enjoyed being in charge of all the toasting when they stayed with me. It doesn't get 5 stars only because the way the tray sides are constructed only really works for larger pieces or toast or by placing whatever it is at an angle so that it sticks well above the holding wire. You can see from the picture there are only two wires and I think this could be improved but now I know about it, inserting say pieces of French bread in a more upright fashion, it works perfectly well.

Different & slightly better than 'normal' design.
Just for the sake of being different I thought I would try this new toaster design, and having used it for about a month my impression is that it is perfectly fine. I don’t know if I can claim it is somehow vastly superior to the existing toaster concept, but it is slightly superior, certainly is no worse. So if you fancy a change why not, a 3yr warranty, as yet untested, was nice too.Bad points• You need sideways space on your counter, as the draw opens to the side, if you’re very pressed for space this will be a disadvantage.• It does not ‘pop up’ but rather a buzzer goes. So not ideal if you’re deaf.Good points• It takes 2 large slices fine, and you can get 3 (or 4 if you arrange them higgledy piggledy) crumpets in.• Elements are safely behind a protective mesh. Feel better about having small children use it. And you can’t electrocute yourself trying to extract something from it. Indeed, getting stuff out of it is a lot easier than the normal design.• It confuses relatives staying with you for the weekend.

Toaster has a nice design and its easy with crumbles
Toaster has a nice design and its easy with crumbles. It wits all the bread, beagles even halved long rolls. The only issue I have with it is the kind of not premium plastic which gets tiny scratches from wiping it down... This should by made of metal. In fairness it does not heat up both toasts evenly as well.. It fits my kitchen design though and Im quite pleased with it so 4 stars!

Good but not even
This toaster has a very good design and easy to clean and remove the bread. Makes cleaning easy too. But the on/off switch could be better, because it is difficult to see if it is on or off. Also, the bread is not toasted evenly.

Good Toaster
This a nice toaster, takes any size of item to be toasted and no chance of a build up of crumbs to smoke and catch fire. One word of warning, don't have anything that will melt, near the back end as the heat does seriously escape from that opening.

good looking and efficient
love this toaster, it is so easy to use, toast bread to a nice colour can fit loads of things in it to warm up and so easy to clean, also love the buzzer, I let toast stand a little in toaster before removing and it comes out nice and crispy, haven't burnt fingers once and added benefit it looks great too.

Love it!
Works brilliantly. Easy to use. Keep the dust out. Dead easy to clean. Outer casing doesn't get hot.
