I use these to hold cat and dog bowls and also for just outside the litter box. My dog can move the pad around the floor when he is working to get all the food from his bowl, but the cat doesn't move his when he get out of the litter box. I use the smaller size for food and the larger size for the litter box. They are cute and super easy to clean. We have multiples.

It was the right size for my cat dish. I like it he spill some cat food out of his dish just can pick up mat and put back in his bowl.
