Posters of World War II by Peter Darman (2008) Hardcover

Got this for two old farts I hike with and they love it, one of which is a retired 3 star General, the other handled nuclear warheads. Many of the posters they never seen before.

It's good to have a collection of posters from different countries, but this book is lacking plenty of posters that a book with this title should certainly contain. Additionally, the print quality of some of the posters isn't as crisp as I've seen elsewhere. Personally disappointing for me is that their is twice as many American posters as British, and French etc. I am particulary interested in the propaganda and design of those posters directed to the populations under the threat of imminent occupation, as the psyche involved is totally different.Still, having said that - it is a nice book - I was just had higher expectations.
