Jandy 7305 180-Degree, 2-Inch to 2-1/2-Inch Check Valve

I was really glad to find this check valve on Amazon since I needed one really quickly and the local pool store did not have them in stock and would have taken a while for them to order and receive them. The price was also higher than the price on Amazon. I need to replace the valve since the water in my raised hot tub which has water overflow into my pool kept going lower and lower each night to the point that eventually it was almost half empty after one night. And it took a while in the morning for the water to fill the hot tub as well. Replacing the valve fixed the problem. I actually didn't use the full pipe/valve that came in the package, but only replaced the valve itself and used the new screws that it came with, and now I have the extra valve pipe to use in the future in case I need it. Overall, I am very satisfied.

Works as advertised! I used this valve for the plumbing of my inground pool. Standard fit, and no gasket required. Valve opens and closes smoothly. I expect this valve will last many years of use.

Scoped out my neighbor's pool heater install from a pool company and saw they had one of these in the return line from the pool so I got one online from Amazon and installed it into mine as well. Works perfectly and cemented in 2" pipe without issues or leaks.

Does exactly what it needs to do. Keeps the pool water in the pipe to the pump intake. No hassles. Long life. My old Jandy check valve had to be replaced after 20 years of use as some of the other valves needed replacment, and it seemed like a good time to do them all. Easy apart for cleaning. Fits 2 inch pipe into the valve body. 2 1/2" pipe uses a coupling over the valve body. Use Grey Glue for all fittings 2" & up for best performance.

I have replaced the backflow valves on the spa side twice (the cheaper ones) before ordering this one- at least now I can replace the flap instead of cutting pipe when it fails eventually. word of warning though: plan your cuts carefully to allow room to insert this thing and use the right glue-- specifies pvc to cpvc cement (universal) - one side of the joint failed when I installed it leaving me driving around to plumbing supply stores to find a 2 1/2 inch to 2 inch pvc fitting - not easy to find so I could use the 'outside' instead of the inside to repair the leaking joint.... not the products fault - I just didn't get the cement right but done now and no more draining spa pullling DE into the pool when the pump is off.One definite bonus: the big pool store that starts with "L" charges about $90 for these so at 1/2 the cost-- much better deal here

I considered spending $8 at the hardware store for a generic version of this. The difference is you can take this apart while inline and replace o-rings and gaskets, and you can disable it for the winter. Very quality workmanship.

After the Texas winter storm, my pentair check valve and other components cracked. I could not find these parts anywhere and the pool companies could not come out to fix it. I found this part on Amazon, ordered it after making sure it was compatible. Installation was easy and it worked great. When my pool guy finally came out I asked him if it was ok to replace the pentair with it and he said "sure a check valve is a check valve". Just make sure the valve is installed with the flow in the correct direction.

Great product as this is the second one I added to manage water flow in my pool system. Yes the Jandy has one moving part that does wear out over time, put that is true for any part regardless of pool, car, etc. This moving part "door/spring" is easy to replace in 2 mins. without cutting into PVC and changing out the entire valve body.One of the best check values for the money and performance available.
