This is a great tool for the job. Feels sturdy, very nice grip. Blade itself can be replaced, so if anything goes wrong you can simply buy a replacement blade. Shouldn't happen though unless you're doing this for a living and you use it a lot. For a DIY'er it should last years. Makes life a lot easier too, I'd go for even wider one right now. Still having that, I don't regret buying this at all.

This has been such a good purchase. The home we naught is a very very old building and every single wall had that awful woodchip, so after taking it all off the walls underneath needed to be re plastered, and while in hindsight it would have been quicker to just replaced the plasterboard after spending that much time getting lapsed off I just pushed forward with the plastering, and what a difference this made, I did read some reviews about needing to file the blade before using but I did not need to do this. It was perfectly smooth and the corners were rounded already.The design makes it easy to grip and glides effortlessly over the skim.Completely worth every penny!

For more occasional DIY use, a reasonably priced alternative to the very expensive pro brand.

I discovered this style of blade at the '22 National Decorators expo. Previously I always used my trusty 9" (handled) blade but this beast is a dream to use. There's a slight knack if you wish to fully load this blade, but damn it makes smoothing large areas a dream — I'm a pro decorator, so I know.Recommended.

You do need this if you doing some DIY plastering around house etc this will make your life easier. I'm finally was able to achieve smooth surface on my ceiling while skimming over the ugly artex

You can’t get anything better for this price

I purchased this, as it clearly states it has a aluminium handle. It is unfortunately made of cheap plastic.I'm sure it will do the job it is designed for, but it wont be a tool that lasts for more than a couple of jobs.
